spookyx's Issues

Linkify urls?

Is there a plan to linkify urls? For example, youtube links turn into their description.

Warosu Compatibility

Are there no plans to make the extension work with Warosu archive? Would make going through a lot more convinient, there aren't any other methods of expanding images on the site, and just adding the domain to included sites in spookyx doesn't work.

Threading/tree sort

Do you plan to implement 4chan X's 'threading' function? I never got used to inline.

Inline reply expansion not working.

Inline reply expansion does not currently work on 4plebs or Desustorage, and possibly others.

It highlights the reply link clicked instead of expanding the reply inline, applies to both quotes and backquotes.

[addition] overflow mode: hyphenate

Most print text use a hyphen for when a word is broken because of the end of a line. This helps differentiate whether the text had a space instead of a newline or space at that point. Might cause some issues for copying the text or for links though.

Use overflow-wrap for breaking words

Please use overflow-wrap for breaking long lines and words. It does a much better job at breaking words than word-break.

https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/CSS/overflow-wrap

The overflow-wrap CSS property specifies whether or not the browser should insert line breaks within words to prevent text from overflowing its content box. In contrast to word-break, overflow-wrap will only create a break if an entire word cannot be placed on its own line without overflowing.

Problem with Imgur embeds

It seems when an OP post ends with a link to an imgur album, every single post in the thread will have the first image of that album embedded in it. I noticed the problem here in an archived Bloodborne General.

Inline images behavior

This is not so much of a bug report, as I'm fairly certain that this is the intended behavior, but I think you should change how the inline images option works. Currently, it swaps every thumbnail on a thread for the actual file. This is a problem in threads that have a lot of images posted, like for example storytime threads on /co/, where various issues of comic books are posted image by image. The current behavior causes the page to load somewhat slowly and hog the browser a bit. Many times clicking on the images doesn't expand their size at all, I suspect because the wait for others to load. I propose (if possible), instead of loading EVERY image in a thread at once, to load the full image and place it inline only when the user clicks on the thumbnail. This way, only the clicked image will be loaded, and the rest will remain as thumbnails, avoiding having to wait for many images to load.
