I am on Ubuntu 16.04.2 LTS. Thanks

Requires password for unmounting

When I try to unmount a flash drive, it shows polkit's window (with action = org.freedesktop.udisks.filesystem-unmount-others) asking for a password.

Why do I consider this a bug? Very simple. Because a file manager (Caja, Nautilus, Nemo) never asks a password when you tell it to unmount a drive. So it's a flaw in bdin.

detach problem

I have Toshiba 1TB external HDD and When i try to unmount and than detach it, drive spin down and than remount quickly again. And every time is doing like that. I use ubuntu 13.10 64bit version.

does not start, needs module appindicator

Hello, when I start bdin I get the following:

$ python bdin
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "bdin", line 44, in
import appindicator
ImportError: No module named appindicator

I am running Peppermint5 (14.04 LTS, LXDE)
When I try to install appindicator, I get the following:

$ sudo apt-get install appindicator
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
E: Unable to locate package appindicator

Please point me in the right direction, thanks
