Add User is a plugin that will allow project Members to create new users without having Administrator rights.

• List of users on the sidebar with their Roles

• Add a new user giving them membership on a project, without requiring Administrator access

1. Follow the Redmine plugin installation steps at: www.redmine.org/wiki/redmine/Plugins

2. Restart your Redmine web servers (e.g. mongrel, thin, mod_rails)

3. Login as an Administrator

4. Configure the Permissions for the plugin, under “Designated contacts”

5. Configure which Roles a new user should receive on the project, in Administration > Plugins

6. Enable the “Designated contacts” Project Module to each project you would like to use it in, in Project > Settings > Modules

The plugin will automatically add a list of members to the Redmine sidebar. Users with the “Add designated contact” permission will also have a link there to add a new user. Once added, a new user will receive a signup email with a random password and can login to the project.
