Plans for Aeron-rs development
Hi Florian!
I'm quite interested in using Aeron from Rust code. My plan was to either:
- Bindgen Aeron cleint and link with it (most probably fail as Aeron uses C++ features file std::function which I beleive will be show stopper for bindgen)
- Write Aeron cleint (those thing which live inside app and talks with media driver) purely on Rust
- Rewrite C++ Aeron client implementation on pure C and bindgen it
In all these strategies I plan to leave C media driver as is and run it as separate process.
But now I found your repository and I just curious what was your design\architecture of the port? Do you want to port media driver as well?
