1. open installer
2. select community folder
3. close installer
4. open installer

Expected:
it should already have the community folder selected, based on the last time I opened the installer

Actual:
it makes me select my community folder again

Currently the installer defaults to the MSFS Community folder and displays that on start up. If you select an alternate folder using "Change Destination Folder" it would be helpful to have the app remember this so that it does not have to be changed each time the program is run. (I currently use an add-on switching app - [https://flightsim.to/file/1572/msfs-addons-linker] - to manage my addons and so I use a staging folder outside of MSFS to hold the addons, including the A32NX.)

I get an error while installing. Folder could not be unzipped, failed reason: FileNotFoundError(2, No such file or directory')!
I have already moved the installer to a different location and the destination folder to a different place but no succes. Also run the installer as administrator doesn't do the trick.
When i look into the community folder there is a folder with files in it after the failed install.

What else can i do to have the installer to work?

I would expect a small simple app to be able to start in under a second

My game is installed with Xbox Game Pass which creates a very long destination folder, when installing the Development version the following error shows up:

Folder could not be unzipped, failed reason: FileNotFoundError(2, 'No such file or directory')!

This doesn't happen when installing the latest Stable version. It only happens with the "development" version.

Avast reports me an exception with the A32NX_Downloader.Exe : FileRepMalware.
What explain that ?

After installing the v0.7 this morning my PC (windows 10 / 2004) BSODs when attempting to update Stable version.
After a full restart / reboot the application hangs. No other software open/running in the foreground.
Only event in the log around that time is "Failed with 0x57 retrieving AppModel Runtime status for package Windows." No mention of the app however.
I have recreated the target directory but no change in issue.
Process:

1. open app from desktop
2. select [STABLE] button.

App hangs and indicates non responsive. Did not get BSOD on this or occasions other than the first time I tried.

I'm using FlyByWire Downloader since the beginning, and it's a great tool! Congratulations!

Since the last 3 attempts to download the Development Version of A320NX, I'm facing slow download speed!

I'm a developer, and I use Git daily, without any problems, but when using the Downloader, the speed is slow, as you can see in the image:

Describe the bug

Installer Keeps Saying "A32NX version is out of date, please consider updating" even though have just updated using the installer.

To Reproduce

Run the installer once to update, then run it again and you will keep getting the "A32NX version is out of date, please consider updating" message.
Expected behavior

After updated, the installer should not keep saying update...

I'm using the custom fbw version with my tca quadrant and it works just beautiful with it and before switching to that I used your downloader to update the dev version all the time and loved the convenience. Could you add the custom fbw version as a third download option?

If I checked the url contained in the github readme for the project correctly the tag for this version is "vmaster-cfbw".

Using Installer version v.07 and the dev version of the A320NX. Since 2 days, everytime I start the installer and it gives an 'out of date' message, although there are no new files on GitHub. Now installed this version:

And when starting the installer, 'out of date' message...

I think adding a couple of commands would greatly improve this software.

For example:
-dev -> would automatically compare with dev version and download if necessary.
-stable -> same as above but with stable version.
-silent -> do above tasks and close app
-opensim -> open the sim when finished.

Maybe some more would be useful also but I can't think of any more right now.

Downloader don't want install A320NX mod because it mistakenly thinks that MSFS is started.

When I run A32NX Downloader it notes: Please close MFFS before installing / updating a32NX mod to avoid problems. But the game is not open. I have checked it in the task manager.
The problem happened a few days ago but the launcher worked very well before

I get an unzip error when I point it to my Community folder. Works great if I point it to any other temporary location ... then I simply copy/replace.

I suspect the error is because the Community folder is protected (it's an MS Store install). More likely, though, the culprit is the stupidly long folder name MS Store creates by default.
