• preloads & arranges static images in book like format
• uses SVG to paint shadows and highlights during animation
• animation speed + easing effects controlled through granular config settings
• paging can be controlled through various event handlers
  • keyboard shortcuts, click, timers, etc
• javascript is neatly separated from html structure & css
  • this allows for greater flexibility & customization
• images load sequentially, aka strict load order of from front to back
  • this helps to avoid long startup & initial wait times
• performant on tablet & mobile devices
