I'm also interested in this. I couldn't find the font anywhere else, except some old version in those font-collections sites.
I read excalidraw/excalidraw#469 and excalidraw/excalidraw#720 it looks like the original creator of the font extended it specifically for Excalidraw, which is itself MIT licensed. Since the font was further modified by the Excalidraw contributors, my guess is that it's also MIT licensed. The MIT license also involves the software documentation https://github.com/excalidraw/excalidraw/blob/master/LICENSE#L6
But practically speaking, to me, it looks like a blurry line if not specified anywhere. I really like the Virgil you are using ❤️ .
