Files are not added to the database. Fresh config, fresh database. I’m sure it is something simple.

I had many duplicates in my TV Episodes folder. Some with a different file extension, some where there was a slight case difference in the filename (The vs the). I removed the duplicates but the file scanner did not remove the entry from the database and so the encoder process sees the db entry and tries to convert a non-existent file.

Easy to replicate. Clear the database and intentionally create duplicate files with different file extensions and slight spelling differences.

Run an initial scan.

Close the medb process.

Remove duplicates, leaving only one of each file.

Start medb process and watch the fireworks. :-)

When removing a bunch of files, it shows in the logs and stdout that the files have been removed but the Files Remaining section of the Dashboard doesn't drop to reflect the files removed, even after refreshing the page.

I know currently the app looks for files above a certain size and transcodes them using the quality setting in the config file. For the sake of consistency, is there a way to have it do a 1:1 conversion of files smaller than the threshold so that all files end up being if the same type/container?
