ncdu-s3

This tool generates ncdu formatted JSON data file for S3 buckets

Usage

$ sudo pip install ncdu-s3
$ ncdu-s3 s3://my-bucket my-bucket.json
$ ncdu -f my-bucket.json

Please note you need boto configured for your user before using this tool.

Propose & implement a way to parallel S3 bucket listing for very large buckets

Will this cause issues using Amazon S3 Glacier?

Does anyone know if I run this on a S3 bucket with Glacier, would this trigger costs because its accessing the data?

Write some unit & integration tests

Support for Python3

The command was initially developed for Python 2, but now breaks with Python 3.

These only small changes are needed to correct the errors:

s3_directory_generator.py: rename urlparse to urllib.parse see FriendCode/gittle#49
main.py : remove that unused import

ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'urlparse'

main.py: use the standard try except syntax.

    except SyntaxError, e:
                      ^
SyntaxError: invalid syntax

ncdu_data_writer.py: replace xrange with rangethat are now equivalent : see range-vs-xrange-python

NameError: name 'xrange' is not defined

directory_walker.py : rename izip_longest to zip_longest

AttributeError: module 'itertools' has no attribute 'izip_longest'
