Dragging in the recycle bin (special folders)

Problems Encountered
--------------------
The folder icon will change but there will be no path and when another
folder is dragged in at the other side, a missing folder icon will be
displayed.

What is the expected output? 
Disable or handle dragging in of special folders

Insufficient Disk space message

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. NA

Does not say which folder (left or right).
Instead it should specify left or right folder has no space

Browse after thumbdrive removal

Problems Encountered
--------------------
When thumbdrive is removed and sync is started, it reports correctly that
its the folder is missing. On clicking browse for folder and closing, the
icon changes to the missing folder icon instead

What is the expected output?
A thumbdrive missing icon should be shown instead.

Undo hiding of sync button

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. For insufficient disk space error - After clearing space the user cannot 
click sync, need to drag in again.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Don't hide the sync button. Should continue to show the sync button

Remove footprint on uninstall

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. On uninstalling the software, it doesn't delete settings.xml (files 
created after installation). 

Solution
Pack a blank settings.xml into the installer too so it will delete the file.

Does not work Windows 7 (64-bit)

1. Load in on Windows 7 Professional

Expected: Two folders, on each side for selection and synchronization  
Output : Error

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Folders are not synced if file paths exceed 255 characters

Problems Encountered
--------------------
When a long folder path (just under 255 characters) is used for syncing, 
nsync reports the sync as completed, although the folders are not synced.

What is the expected output?
Preempt the user of the issue before carrying out the sync job.

Removing Icons

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Remove load.gif
2. Run nsync

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Report the missing file, instead, it crashes as it tries to load the image

1. If user does not have permissions on the folder, insufficient disk space 
message is shown

Bug or Enhancement: The operation for deletion

If the users first synchronize two folder A and B, then delete some files
in folder A, your program will not delete the corresponding files in folder
B, instead, it will copy those files from B to A.

Dragging of shortcuts

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Currently, dragging of shortcuts in the folder paths in not allowed 

Solution/Expected output
Dragging a folder shorcut in will add the target of the shortcut folder (Link 
to school folder), dragging a file shortcut (link to nsync.exe from desktop) 
will add the parent of the shorcut file (desktop)

Cannot access previous notification messages

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. In case the user wants to see what was the previous notification/error 
message, he is unable to do so

20, always)

Removing of Thumbdrive

When nsync detects 2 valid folders, one from a thumbdrive, user removes
thumbdrive and clicks on 'and sync' button, insufficient disc space error
is shown

nsync does not open

nsync does not open and throws an error "program not responding". I am using 
nsync Version 2. 

I have downloaded and replaced the installer. Still the problems persists.

Windows 7 Snapping

Problems Encountered

In Windows 7 when the snap feature is on, if nsync is snapped to any of the
'hot' areas, it is not possible to unsnap it


What is the expected output? 
Provide an unsnap option or disable snapping

 Even comparing the two empty folders, your program needs five seconds.
Your program backups the two compared folders in the back-end.

Folder is subfolder of a folder wrongly reported error

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Create a folder named "A".
2. Create another folder named "A1" with B as its sub-folder.
3. Select folder "A" as source, then select "A1\B" as destination directory

Fix the subfolder detection algorithm

Bug


Sometimes, if there are two files with the identical name but under the
different folders, once some operations are imposed on these files with
identical name, there will be some problem reported by program. It said
that a certain file X cannot be in sync.

Unsuccessful Sync Jobs Folder Not Saved

Problems Encountered
--------------------
When a sync is unsuccessful, nsync will not save the folder pair.

What is the expected output?
Working to allow all folder pair to be saved unless they are similar or a
subfolder so even if they do not exists or synchronization fails
halfwaysync folder pairs will be saved.

Removal of thumbdrive after sync icon is clicked

Problems Encountered

When the sync has already started and the user removes the thumbdrive from
the system, the program incorrectly reports the error as "Insufficient Disk
Space" in the Helper Window.
