it-vends's Issues

Vend List Additions

Please post suggested additions to the Vend List here. Items should be of the format "preposition (adverb/adjectives) noun", eg: "a stuffed giraffe", "an orange soda", "two ducks", "some bacon". Please consult the existing Vend List(found within vendlist.php), and please do not submit duplicates or items overly similar to existing ones. Suggestions which are found to have merit will be periodically incorporated(every Minor version or so). Acceptance is not guaranteed - and "zany" is not necessarily a good criteria to build upon.

By posting your suggestion in this Issue, you grant the Authors of It Vends the perpetual right to incorporate your contribution to It Vends and license it as they see fit, including under the terms of the GPL v3, or any other license, without guarantee of acceptance or payment for this right. If you do not feel comfortable with these terms, do not submit your contributions.

Add "fadeout" effect

The output generated by the "Vend!" button should fade out after not clicking the button for some time. 15 seconds? This should not require the addition of any additional jQuery libraries, as there is already a .fadeOut() function we can use. Implementation should be simple, boiling down to chaining a timer onto the Vend! button.

API Output lacks newline

There is no trailing output on the API Output(curl itvends.com/vend), which is against standard behavior. Add a newline.

Separate "special" items from main rotation

"Special" (aka Rare) items should be separated out into the $vendspecial array. Support for this was added with 1.1, but usage was not implemented due to laziness. Separating these items out will also let us control the rate at which they are dispensed more finely than the current system of "spam a bunch of common items and pray rand() works".
