containerized-client-metrics-analysis's Issues

Containerized Client and Network Metrics Dashboard for Core-Geth

Containerized Client and Network Metrics Dashboard for Core-Geth

Prize amount

500 - 1000 USD paid in Ethereum Classic (ETC)

Challenge Description

Build a containerized client and network analysis dashboard service using metrics from etclabscore/core-geth, which can be deployed to a reputable cloud provider of your choice (eg DigitalOcean, AWS, ...).

Motivation

Qualitative and quantitative visual analysis of Ethereum-based network statistics and protocol provider (aka client) metrics.

Acceptance Criteria

Tangibles:

  • Should use a container-based archictecture yielding wide infrastructure portability.
  • Should be easily deployable to a scalable cloud service.
  • Should have potential to scale reasonably, which probably means providing a clear separation of data storage and computation demands.
  • Should accept either a remote or local etclabscore/core-geth as a data source.
  • Should have adequate documentation such that a non-specialist but experienced developer can deploy and continue to develop the service.

Notes:

  • etclabscore/core-geth, like ethereum/go-ethereum, has a few built-in packages that can be of service; see the metrics/ package. Not required:

  • Use of single container is not required, provided the solution is easily and programmatically
    deployable.

  • A whole bunch of visualizations are not required, nor a bunch of fancy indexes. The key point here is the deployable infrastructure design.

Submission Requirements

  • Work on your fork of this repository, then make a pull request to submit your project.
  • Include documentation explaining your project with usage examples. Consider at least a good readme. Anything that presents your project maximizes your submission reward (project site, video demos, etc...)
  • Do not delete Pristine template files such as BUILDING.md, CONTRIBUTING.md
    , CONVENTIONAL_COMMITS.md, LICENSE.md, etc..

Submission Deadline

The deadline for submissions is May 27.

Judging Criteria

The submission will be awarded upon valid and highest quality submission.

Winner Announcement Date

The submissions will be reviewed by May 29. Winner announcements and price payouts will occur before June 30.
