nay

Nay is a WIP wrapper around apt/nala to search in a similar way to yay/paru on Arch, where packages are listed and indexed and the user enters the index of the items to install.

Install

git clone https://github.com/erydactyl/nay
cd nay
sudo cp nay.py /usr/bin/nay
sudo chmod +x /usr/bin/nay

Visual bug - Versions available occasionally display incorrectly

apt search (search term) term sometimes selects a package version that is not the most recent and the documentation does not make it clear how to show which package is actually available. This makes some packages appear out of date when they are not.

However, this is only a visual bug as the script calls apt or nala immediately after selecting packages.
