entware-ng's Introduction

Entware-ng-3x and Entware-ng merged to become Entware

Entware-ng-3x and Entware-ng decided to join forces and merge the two projects into a new project called Entware. As a result the two projects Entware-ng-3x and Entware-ng will not be maintained anymore. All software and resources will be available at the new project webpage, including the documentation wiki.

entware-ng's Issues

Please supply perl module perl-usb-serial (Device::SerialPort) for armv7

Hello,
I have tried it many many days to create it by my own but without success. Many people are looking for it or trying to create it. Nobody has had success. For unawares it is to complicated to create a running toolchain.

For many people this will be the solution to run the home automation software FHEM on a Synology or QNAP NAS with a CUL stick.

So please supply a compiled version of the cpan/perl module Device::SerialPort (Device-SerialPort-1.04)

Many thanks in advance
Andreas

radvd

aiccu, wich is included in the entware repository, is useless without radvd.

Would it be possible to make a package for radvd for armv7 so we can use aiccu?

Package request: exif utility

I'm trying to write a script to automatically sort photos stored on my Qnap NAS based on the exif data. The script would be run by cron and rename image files with the exif dates, create a folder for each month and move files to the appropriate folder.
Most examples I found around the net rely on the exif tool http://sourceforge.net/projects/libexif/files/exif/ which depends on libexif and popt, both already present on openwrt upstream.

Any chance to get this package available on Entware-ng?

PD. Another option would be jhead http://www.sentex.net/~mwandel/jhead/ but I'm not sure if it would be more difficult to compile.

Package request php7-*

PHP7 brings double performance compared to 5.x branches which is critical factor for running scripts on power optimized cpus in routers.

Please add hadouken

First up thanks for the next gen entware, it has been working beautifully upgraded from original entware on my RT-AC56U.

I have a new package would like to be added. If it's not an appropriate place to add these request please do tell.

The repo: https://github.com/hadouken/hadouken

This is a torrent client that is based on the same libtorrent-rasterbar as deluge and has the same GUI as older desktop utorrent which has the same feature set as deluge-webui. But as it's written in C++, it's lighter than deluge and thus is better than transmission or the complicated setup process for the same feature set on rtorrent with rutorrent gui.

BR,

Request: rblibtorrent New Build

Hi All,

Seems the entware implementation of the rblibtorrent/deluge lacks working proxy support.

According to Deluge developers, this is most likely in relation to rblibtorrent not being the latest - however I lack the skills or know how in order to build the latest version for entware.
If anyone can spare the time, I would really appreciate it if someone could port the latest build of rblibtorrent for Deluge.

Thanks!
Matt

Package Request Iperf3

Could you please add Iperf3 package?
Currently we have Iperf2, and Iperf3 has some features that would be really useful.
Thanks

Can you add sshpass?

Hi,
sshpass would be a nice addition to Entware. I use it on a Raspberry Pi to have my AC88U execute a shell script using a single line ssh command. It would be nice to have the other direction (AC88U -> Pi).

Cannot initialize device-mapper. Is dm_mod kernel module loaded?

I am not sure if this is a bug, but I am encountering an issue while trying to mount a LUKS partition with command:
cryptsetup luksOpen /dev/sda1 mydmname
using the latest (3.0.0.4.378_9313) stock AsusWRT on my RT-AC3200.

I followed the “Install on Asus stock firmware” instructions and was able to
opkg install update
opkg install cryptsetup nano

Nano works as expected. Am I missing other deps. I am assuming cryptsetup would load dm_mod on call.
modprobe -l | grep dm
returns unrelated module cdc-wdm.ko

Thank you for your help and hard work!
Dan

New Generation Entware folder name

I want to create a script to install entware-ng which will backup first any entware, optware, optware-ng installation and will also create a swap file but I'm not sure how to name entware folder, entware or entware-ng (entware-ng.arm respectively)? something like optware-ng install script http://goo.gl/NhZz9U

accel-ppp not working on Tomato

after upgrade accel-ppp from 1.7.3 to 1.9.0 from new repo - accel-pppd process use 33% of memory consumption and VPN clients can't connect to server without any errors in logs.

I tried to change settings in conf file - nothing helped.

opkg illegal instruction on Asus WL-500W due to MIPS r2 instruction.

It seems opkg is built for MIPS r2:

$ file opkg.new
opkg.new: ELF 32-bit LSB executable, MIPS, MIPS32 rel2 version 1 (SYSV), statically linked, stripped

On Asus WL-500W I can get the opkg help text output, but attempts to perform any operations result in ". Here's what happens in gdb:

(gdb) run
Starting program: /opt/dl/opkg.new list-installed

Program received signal SIGILL, Illegal instruction.
0x004226e4 in ?? ()

(gdb) x/10i 0x4226e4

0x4226f4: ext s2,s2,0x3,0x1
0x4226f8: ins v0,s2,0x4,0x1

This seems like valid MIPS code, but the ins instruction requires MIPS r2, and the WL-500W is r1.

Was opkg accidentally built for MIPS r2 or will Entware-ng be unusable on MIPS r1 routers?

Can't stop XMail 1.27

Hi,
i can't stop or killall xmail (1.27) process on 2 RT-N65U routers. Removal of pid file is also without result. Therefore can't safe remove USB disk.
While xmail continues to send and receive emails, as if nothing had happened.
I hope You will check it.

Package request: php5-mod-geoip

Hello! Can you add the package php5-mod-geoip? It is needed for rutorrent plugin rutorrent-plugin-geoip. Thank you very much.

/opt/share/dbus-1 missing

After installing both dbus and dbus-utils, the server won't start stating:

Failed to start message bus: Failed to open "/opt/share/dbus-1/system.conf": No such file or directory

rsnapshot dependency missing "perlbase-ipc"

rsnapshot needs perlbase-ipc, but on my first install of rsnapshot, perlbase-ipc was not installed as part of dependency fulfillment. I installed perlbase-ipc manually and then rsnapshot worked.
