As a user I want to:

• be able to require authentication for some of my shortcuts due to privacy reasons
• redirect shortcuts that require authorization to a login page so that I can log in
• if I enter http://shortify.example/link (while logged in) in the menu bar it should redirect without me doing anything else

Annoying when having to wait for CI for the lambda tests when they have not been touched

After merge to main and staging deployment is successful, move to the production deployment. In this scenario, only allow it if it has been approved by a human.

According to https://docs.aws.amazon.com/lambda/latest/dg/services-rds-tutorial.html, creating the database outside of the function handler allows the lambda runtime to reuse the connection.

In 972e159 the code was refactored to connect to dynamodb on each lambda handler call.

• Users can import the module and provide their own configuration
• Different versions can be pinned through the lockfile
• My personal deployment can be moved to another repo

Only a-z0-9-. are allowed right now. This can be expanded to include other characters, such as for example åäö.

On merge, run terraform apply so that it deploys automatically

Hardcoding the terraform state bucket and dynamodb is not sustainable. Link below provides an alternative which configures backend when running terraform init

The logs show no indication which shortcut was used on what call. This could be useful when creating Grafana dashboards showing which shortcuts are used the most often.

APIGateway should be able to log the endpoint, if it doesn't the lambda could perhaps log the path.
