Starting Quest Reward

Early game building on a skyblock is the worst, what would you say to swapping the Leather Armor from the first quest to a Diamond Builder's Wand?

Dirt Furnace Quest

It took me way longer than I care to admit to find the Dirt Furnace needed to make Charcoal, I think a quest would help.

Early game Endstone Casing

Issue Description

I got from a Loot Bag Purpur Blocks. Now with Glowstone I was able to make Endstone and therefore Endstone Casings already 8h in the pack. This seems like a progression break. I recommend either disabling the Ex Nihilo Endstone recipe or remove Purpur Blocks from the Loot Bag.

Thaumonomicon Quest

It's unclear for some how to get the Thaumonomicon - Add this text, or something similar to the Thaumonomicon quest:

"You need to do the research first to use Salis Mundus. For instance to get the Thaumonomicon, make some crystals in the alchemical fusion table, drop them and pick them up again and have a sleep. After that you should be able to use Salis Mundus on a bookshelf to get the Thaumonomicon"

Suggestion

Forgiving Void

When a player falls to the void, It will teleport the player to y=300 and he will fall on his island. And the grave will be on the island instead of in the void

Steel Rod recipe?

Issue Description

Wondering if this is the only supposed earlygame Steel Rod recipe... (besides the plate presser). Looks a bit confusing to me :D

(Trying to make steel scaffolding for the metal press.)

Easier iron gear recipe

To make an iron gear i need the metal press.
For the metal press I need a block of redstone for each steel rod that i make for the steel scaffloding.
Even more redstone for the pistons and the redstone engeeniring block.
To make the redstone i need at least the iron casing for the combustion because the stone one doesnt have enough HU.
The Iron casing recipe require me to make an iron gear which i cant unless i get red orchid which is a grind..

Configure Armoreable Mobs

alot of mobs spawned with nano suits and manaweave armor and its kinda hard to kill them with a wooden sword.
p.s. i got their armor after i killed them.. and i dont think we hould get that armor at the start.

To Gear.zs

Flint in combustion chamber produces blaze powder instead of gunpowder

Issue Description

When placing flint in a combustion chamber blaze powder is produced when JEI shows gunpowder as the result. Tested with a stone combustion heater and iron casing.

Edit: I also just found that if you put 3 flint in a fully heated stone heater with netherrack casing it turns into gunpowder correctly.

The clay quest is gated behind the cobble stone quest, whilst neither a bucket or a crucible is required for cobble/lava they make it a lot nice to play with.

Make Ex Nihilo Available Early Game

I'd personally prefer if both Ex Nihilo and Sky Resources were available to begin with, so players can pick whichever they feel like. For some reason I feel like the crafting mechanics would fit in better in the midgame.
