I appreciate this project and I'm grateful for you for sharing the source code of this project with the world. If possible, I'd like to ask you to put a license on it.

As you may already know, without a license, code can't be used or contributed to by most companies and organizations due to copyright laws. Clarity in the license could relieve the copyright confusion for potential outside contributors and usage of the code.

If you only wish to share the code but not permit others to use and contribute to the project, then adding a license statement to the repository would still help by clarifying your position on code ownership and rights.

The standard method of licensing code on Github would be to use a LICENSE file containing the necessary details, but a mention in the README would already be enough for clarity's sake.
