Sounds like a good idea. I'll try to take a look tonight, and update along the same lines as needs_ember flag.

Also, if you add ember_data to your Gemfile it should work as is without needing to copy the file manually (that is done here).

@rjackson Thanks for pointing out that I should add ember_data to my gem file, it was actually missing from config.ru file as well.
