haml2erb

haml2erb is a tool for converting Haml to Erb markup.

Installing and loading haml2erb

haml2erb is currently distributed as a Rails plugin.

Simply move the main haml2erb directory into the vendor/plugins directory of your Rails application.

Using haml2erb

Use the haml2erb command line or from Ruby call the Haml2Erb.convert method to have Haml markup translated into Erb.

Example: Simple conversion

  echo '.foo' | haml2erb
  # <div class='foo'></div>
  Haml2Erb.convert('.foo')
  # => "<div class='foo'></div>\n"

haml2erb's Issues

undefined method `content_for' for object

Hi,

I'm trying to use your gem since there's a specific use cases where I need to actually convert haml to erb for linting.

The main app I want to run this gem is has a higher version of haml than specified in the gemspec, but when I change the runtime_dependency version of haml, I get undefined method content_for and other methods in my haml files I'm trying to convert. Any advice on how to get around this? Thanks!
