This is also related to #1 where there's no explicit license. We're not looking to damage Riot's branding, so please yell if the modified logo isn't okay.

So we do actually have an official B&W logo, which i'd forgotton to git add; thanks for the prod:

In terms of brand guidelines: yes, that'd be nice, and hopefully we'll get enough bandwidth to worry about that in the nearish future. In the interim, please use the logos in this repo (which is why it exists). Riot is special in that there's no one true logo but a set of variations, which gives some level of flexibility, but obviously we'd prefer to stick to the 'official' ones.

you mean a Corporate Design?
A CD specifys how to display the logo, what modifications are allowed, what sizes and in what context it is allowed to display. Context is very important (for example: only on pastel background ; page needs to include at least one chequer element ; ...)

Hello, I'm a @MozillaItalia volunteer. First of all thanks for the hard work on Riot.im, we Mozilla volunteers have been using it for a while with the Mozilla community Matrix instance and I have to say it's been working out really well.

I am currently designing, with other volunteers, the new landing page for @MozillaItalia's website, and we would like to have a Riot.im "button" pointing to our Matrix channel. However, to be uniform to the other social network/messaging platform logos on the page, it would need to be all white (it will lie on a blue background).

Do you have an all-white version of the logo? If not, can I simply make a negative version of the one you posted and show you a mockup of how it would look like on our website, so you can see if we're using it properly?
