Also included a screenshot from plex, the script completes successfully but because of the error when attempting to delete the tmp directory, plex marks the post-processing as failure. I went back to 53bf3c6.

First off thanks for the great script! I was wondering if somebody could provide some insight on on an error that I keep having. I have provided an output from a recorded show. I was thinking it was a permissions problem but I have reviewed the permissions and they are all correct. The show does record and the commercials are skipped, for the most part, but plex reports there was an error with the script.

Would it be possible to pass a second variable to the script where if set it would just take the comskip output and use that to embed chapter markers where the commercials are in the mkv instead of cutting out the commercials?

I'm on a linux box, everything looks right. I can run the script with the plex user and it runs fine, but when plex itself runs it, it just doesn't run comskip on it.

When running from plex i get could not open video codec however when run straight from the command line all works well:

Any advice much appreciated!

When I run the script manually everything works fine, but as part of the Post Processing Script it is failing. I'm getting the following error:
Comskip did not exit properly with code: 255

After some investigation, the tmp folder isn't being created and the process fails after that.

the plex user does have rights in the folder, the log is in /tmp/logs

Are there any other rights the plex user needs?

I thought the nice range was -20 to 19. Might want to update your config comments. My guess is if you put anything >19 it just defaults to it, but might as well be correct. Also the - in front might be misinterpreted as a -20 which would set it to the highest priority.

How does this work with Plex? Is it a plex extension? Does plex read the file and cause it to not play commericals? Or does this create a brand new file?
