ReadItApp is an application that allows children to participate in a ReadItChallenges, themed competitions created by the library and published in the application. Each ReadItChallenge is open to a specific group and proposes a list of books related to the topic. After returning a borrowed book to the library, the app allows the completion of a ReadItQuiz related to it. The quiz must be completed on the app, it aims to verify the knowledge about the specific book and allows the child to earn virtual ReadItAchievements in the form of badges and collect gems, which represent collected points. At the end of the ReadItChallenge, each child accumulates a final score in the application, calculated as the sum of the score of each completed quiz and it is used to build up a ranking. Finally, the library offers small physical prizes to children who participated in the challenge and collected gems.
