Hi sir, thanks for reading. I really like your project, I used to have Metro for Steam but after seeing Threshold, this is my new favourite one. I was using Segoe UI Light font on MfS skin, which I find that is very elegant and simple, I'd like to know if there is any way to set a new font or something like that so I can try Segoe UI on this skin. If I select text in a chat, I can only see the highlight on my own message and on the usernames, but not on the other user's message.

I'm using resources from Add Games Button & Collapsed Sidebar & Switch Bottom Bar folder, config.ini modified to include window outlines and titlebar color, and Threshold v0.8.

I don't really know if this is intended or not, but games that need updating or the ones that are being updated don't have a white font like the installed games. Instead, they appear greyed out like an uninstalled game.

If it is intended, can this be changed in anyway to another font color? Like the blue one in Steam's original skin.

EDIT: I am adding a screenshot, just to be clear. Dota 2 is the game that is updating.

Simple, switch the BPM icon to a gamepad (to match Steam default skin) and the Library icon for the... library icon =P
It should make sense to most users, it's a minor suggestion, though. Both work, this suggestions is more in par with previous Steam and Windows users.

What do you think of the suggestion of having sub-menus open on the side instead of bellow the buttons?

This way you can navigate the buttons with your mouse simply by going to the next button instead of having to move to the side so that the sub-menu closes and lets you hover the other buttons it was hiding.

I know this probably isn't a very common issue, but I take screenshots of my Steam client on occasion (using ShareX) and it would be nice to not have to blur out my Steam sign-in name. Metro and PixelVision both blocked this by simply replacing it with your current username, IIRC.

Anyway, I'd like to request hiding that information.

After getting the Humble Bundle freedom bundle with this skin I realised how much I love the "add a game" button of the Original Steam skin. It starts to get quite annoying to keep going to the hamburger menu to select "Activate a product on Steam". Would it be possible to add the "Add a game" button to Threshold? I'm talking about this button (in the bottom left corner). I think there is plenty of space in the bottom left corner and if there isn't enough space for letters, maybe a simple plus icon would complete the job.

Comparison with Mail:

On a normal Windows 10 window, the colored outline is visible only when the window is not maximised.
When it is maximised, there is not outline

Steam should respect that behavior, for more consistency (and also because colored outlines looks ugly when maximised)

I'm just wondering if it is possible to scale everything to 200% (eg. 200% width and height) to make a HiDPI skin?
Currently almost every skin is blurry under 200% DPI, and too small when turned off steam.exe's DPI scaling.

I'm using the dev version since the beginning, but I still think the notification icon should be on top on every page. I'd take the sidebar too but not everyone uses a collapsed sidebar, I guess.

There are like a million UX issues with the current placement, number 1 being that people will keep missing it because of the mental model Steam used for a decade now.

Unable to see the text of selected uninstalled games with gray color style.

I was able to make it viable by changing in resource\styles\steam.styles GameItem_Uninstalled and GameItem_Uninstalled:hover selectedtextcolor from Uninstalled.Text to Uninstalled.Selected.Text and creating in resource\styles\colors\Gray.styles Uninstalled.Selected.Text="200 200 200 255".

This appears to be no longer true? At least I can't find what it's talking about anymore.

How it looks right now:

If there are other icons (mobile phone, browser) VR icon shows in front of picture, in another case it shows behind picture.

What did you end up doing to the font size in the dev release... It currently looks way to big, please make it smaller or at least add an option maybe for smaller fonts :s

I feel like this skin would be even more perfect if we could customize it with this layout.

The Steam Wallet number is very important for any user, it should be strongly featured on the skin. Currently it's only displayed in a very tiny number in a corner of the skin.

If there's any way to display it on the Title bar to the left of the Big Picture Mode icon, I'd put it there.

The "wizard" panels were changed in v0.7 to have no margins, update all wizard layout files to make use of additional width and be correctly centered.

They redesigned the sidebar's appearance on the AU. Updating the skin so it follows the new style seems like a good idea.

While Steam is maximized, if you click on the icon for messages, the menu is off-screen.

Currently, when you hover over the items in the sidebar it provides a dropdown menu like this (this is in the collapsed sidebar

When hovering over selections and going down the list the dropdown obscures the options below the currently hovered over item. If either of them are possible I would suggest one of the following changes to alleviate this issue:

1. Require a click instead of hover to display the dropdown (possibly making the highlight of the button more accented at the same time)
2. Offset the dropdown to the side of the buttons and line up the top of the dropdown with the top of the icon area. Kind of like this
   

Some strings are in English instead of Portuguese.

I never worked with Steam skins so I have no idea how language is done here, is it called from the software it self (Steam) or does the skin it self has to have the strings translated?

If you need a list of which ones are like this just tell me and I'll try to make a complete one.

You missed one :P

Currently the release zip files are bundled along with the git files. This means almost 50% of the size of the files are contained within the .git directory which is not necessary when downloading these files. These git files are only used in a developer context for git specific options so it makes no sense to include them for downloads which are accessed by ordinary folks.

Get the skin working in OSX/Linux

• Linux support works, but fonts are wrong. In progress of updating font-sizes.
• OSX support is likely in the same boat as Linux support but hasn't been tested. Concerns are:
  • OSX's titlebar is not on-window, may cause issues with hamburger button
  • OSX window control buttons are on left side, overridden to right side (if you're using a Windows 10 style theme we'll make it windows style)
