The standard file channels don't work for me because i use dm800 on cable network so the channels id are differents

Hi All Experts,
I have an original Dreambox Dm7020Hdv2 which the Chinese titles of the Chinese programs in EPG are not displaying in readable Chinese characters which is in unreadable format. Will any kind hearted expert create a plugin for Enigma2 that can read these Chinese characters? Please help!

Don't have this issue myself but a few people have reported that after an overnight download the main EPG cache file epg.dat still has the previous days date and time stamp so hasn't been updated with the latest download.

Under CrossEPG 0.6.2 selecting Update Rytec Providers results in an error
"Cannot retrieve rytec sources"
Having researched this a lot, i've already tried some of the reported updates for this, but none of those have worked.
If CrossEPG creates any logs files, please advise the location and I will upload these

Note:- I am unable to upgrade to 0.8.1 as that does not work on my OS - I have raised a separate issue for that error

Could you guys please remove the closed source binaries from this plugin?
They are not really in terms with the claimed GPLv2 license.

Lately I get the error "Cannot get the NIM" despite I've got a FBC tuner correctly configured with 7 SCR channels for my LNB and the LNB has got 24 SCR channels.
But, if there's just a box streaming by Fallback tuner configuration, I get this incredible error.
It's not necessary to tell that every other activity involving multiple tuner needs (multiple watching/recordin/straeaming/PiP) perfectly works.
I also tried, just to do something weird and not logical, to change the preferred tuner in my image (OBH 5.0.008).

I couple of days ago I got a new patch from dmm that makes it possible to merge epg data while the OS is running again.
Eventhough everything seems to work fine,unfortunatly I noticed that the mhw2 downloader doesn't seem to be working anymore.
I made a log but couldn't find any reason for it.
It runs without any issues but there is just no epg data whatsoever after it finished.
So I don't really know if a log will help.
Anyway,as this is the best way to load epg for Digital+ chanels on 19.2,I would really appreciate if you could fix this and maybe post an update.

Hello,
I am setting up EPG on my receivers using my SD data. Can someone tell me what files I need to make available for downloading to Cross to make the guide populate?
I'm assuming an xml file will be required but seems there is also a "channel db file" that is needed.
A sample of the code needed to make these files would be much appreciated!

I have use CrossEPG on my Vu+ for over 8 years. The image is Blackhole 2.1.4 and earlier issues. I have a DVB-T tuner for terrestrial reception. Each day CrossEPG updates the EPG. However when I view the current and next program details the VU only displays the current program details for Australian Network Channels 9 and 10 but does not show program details for the remaining networks, 7 ,ABC, and SBS. It does show the next program details for "next" programs on all network channels. Is this a CrossEPG issue or a Blackhole issue. It's driving me crazy! I look forward to your reply.

When using Open ATV 5.1 and Cross EPG 8.1.0, during download the process stalls. Firstly in the early stages (488kb) of 'Reading titles', but this appears to proceed past this point are an extended delay (around 3 minutes)

Then at 2.01mb of 'Reading summaries' and this stalls for maybe 10 minutes before apparently completing.

Having attempted this on a completely new build, I can report that the result is a partially completed EPG.

I've been using CrossEPG for many years and I've always been able to set alias.conf for the cases I need, specifically to copy EPG from SD to HD channels.
The examples at the beginning of alias.conf are simple and easy to follow.
But, lately, I can't get to my goal: copy the EPG from some channels, for instance some RAI channels (but only some, the ones I'll tell later) to the correspondent HD.
This issue affects, among the others: Rai Movie, Rai Premium, Rai News 24 and other ones, but not RAI1, Rai2, Rai3 and others, for whom my alias.conf woks perfectly.
Note that, I want to copy the EPG of the satellite version of the 3 channels above, which is the most complete one, usually about 5 days.
It should be done very easily either by this line
Rai Movie-RAI=Rai Movie HD
or, to be even more sure, by this
2136-3070-013e=Rai Movie HD
or, also,
2136-3070-013e=4536-30D4-013e

just to talk about Rai Movie. Same issue for the others already mentioned.
But there is nothing to do: it just does not work.
Where do I fail? What puzzles me is that this scheme perfectly works for many other channels.

After some time (could take 1-3 days) the setting reverts to flash.
I had this problem with all BlackHole Versions before. (1.6.6-1.7.4)

Maybe it would be possible to find a solution for this problem.

Currently i´m using the newest version of crossepg, but also used git272 and the problem was the same.

With the latest version'm getting invalid provider, but the provider is mine and if I go back to version 293 everything works normal! This started happening for about 3 months ago, worked normal in version 300, which can be done?

I use a 2 tuner Vu+Duo2 and I would like the program to incororate a selection to choose which tuner, (current in use or other tuner) to download the EPG data from. Currently I have to use the old version 0.6.2 to use the current tuner. I have CrossEPG download set weekly at 4am so it does not bother me watching normal TV channels.
My independent tuner config:-
My Tuner-A is dedicated to my 3.7 motor controlled C-Band dish. All fixed Ku dishes goto Tuner-B via an 8 port DiseqC switch.

After installing the last IPK, my old Dreambox crashed after requesting a download. During the parsing.

hello, have sat tv HD receiver Amiko alien 8900 , in main system-spark, is new plugin CrossEPG, but in this plugin isnt provaider VIASAT BALTIC (satellite- Astra 4.8e, transponders- 11804 H,11843 H,11900 V,11958 H,12245 V,12380 H), i think this provaider use media highway EPG.

many users in Baltic countries,who have this receiver , trying get epg on crossepg plugin,but no result.

I'm having problems with my crossepg (dm800se). Always the option of external devices is unavailable, appearing only internal flash, but I see the 2 devices (device manager) and play my videos using media player. I did flash with new image, but I need to restart the box to appears my pen drive (crossepg configuration: sotrage device). How do I see what is happening?

I'm from Italy and using CrossEPG from git and I am experiencing many problems since ~two weeks ago, basically when I upgraded to the latest dmm cvs (I'm using nn2). I use OpenTV and one of xml or xepgdb.
It happened sometimes that epg was not loaded at all, other times (most of) it is loaded but it acts as one of the following:

1. crash the gui with an e"pgcache.cpp assertion at line ####" error everytime I open the CoolMan EPG, the standard multi graphical epg, or even the WebIf that crashes e2 (and itself) being useless all the time. Immediately, so.
2. in the last days, sometimes the epg is there for (most of, not all as before) the channels but as soon as you move right of the loaded lines it crashes e2. Still, with all the epgs (coolman,standard,webif).
   That's quite annoying. Has it something to do with the sources? With the new e2? A CrossEPG bug?
   I see I experience similar problems with a dm800se having older nn2 sw, so I think it's the sources being messed up very often.
   Forgot to mention, obviously, I reboot e2 every night after crossepg's work...p.s. I see dmm speaks about a "cool new way" to inject epg into e2 without a reboot. Is it true/workable?

Since about a week or so there seems to be a problem with the processing of the Digital+ channels on astra 19.2°E(can't test 30°W).
The process starts without a problem then it asks for a channel list that can't be found and it can't find any channels to process.
As a result no EPG data is loaded.
About a week ago this worked without a problem with same config.

Hi. After upgrading the software CrossEPG runs but seems to be getting no data. It switches to the appropriate channel fine and runs as if everything is ok other than the process bars not appearing on downloading data. I have reinstalled but to no avail. The log is below, thanks.

Cannot retrieve rytec sources error when trying to update the sources.

Hi. I checked the programme titles and summaries PIDs but I just got code rather than understandable words.

Do I assume this data is in all the tables on these PIDs or on only certain ones?

PIDs I checked

Headers 0x30, to 0x37 inclusive
Summaries 0x40 to 0x47 inclusive

What I am looking for is the actual channel names that appear on the EIT after the summary. In descriptor 0x50 it says for example 'Vidro - BBC ONE London' etc. But these only appear on the actual transponders.

Which descriptor do these appear in on 12.778V?

Also where is the NIT data and EPG numbers for Sky DE (Sky Deutschland)? I cannot find anything in the SI data.

Under OpenBH 5.0.009, either in a clean image, alias script does not work any longer and it is a huge issue because this feature is exactly what makes me to prefer CrossEPG against EPGImport.
I also tried either using the original alias.conf or my customised one, but it's the same (unsuccessful) result.

I have crossepg running on my image, but when I have crossepg trying to download opentv and xepgdb, I get all data from xepgdb, but none from sky uk showing. However, if I have just sky uk opentv, then it shows...

Any workaround or reason for the bug? I can see that it has downloaded all the data, but it does not seem to load it (or maybe it's the saving that's not working?!)

Am using a dm 800se, with OpenPLi and crossepg svn 300. I have a USB flash drive and an internal HDD, mounted as /media/usb and /media/hdd. I've configured crossepg to use Flash memory stick but after an overnight download the config gets set back to internal flash.

I've checked the download and all the download process completed without any errors and used the path /media/usb/crossepg (USB flash memory stick) but it seems that after the download had s completed crossepg config is set to use internal flash. I've also check the log file which shows that the download completed onto the USB flash memory stick.

I can't then set to use the USB flash memory stick or HDD, they are not presented as options when pressing the left/right arrow buttons on the remote until after I've restarted enigma2.

So what checking does crossepg perform after the download which would cause it to think that the USB and HDD are not present.
