gravitycontrol's Issues

Does not work for all sand dupers

test world: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/914215994908639273/941902303324168192/sand_generator_test_world.zip

right now only this type of duper and similar works with plugin. it is only type I knew exist when I design:
working duper
it is most common type.

here is new type that is not working, user bring it to me:
not working duper.

I do not know how to detect this movement, because velocity is all 0. I thought velocity not being 0 is what makes sand duper unique, but this is now not true. only some duper. I put more information here: https://forums.papermc.io/threads/how-to-detect-specific-entity-movement-collision.39/

if you have idea please comment! I am stuck.

Lack of momentum when using a "faster" duper

I'd like to report an issue while using this plugin (Paper 1.19.2-174, no other plugins than WorldEdit/WorldGuard/Dynmap) and utilising a "faster" duper design. I've been using designs from this video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dtt-HTwikfs

The simplest "43.2K" design properly adds the vanilla momentum to the blocks as they appear in the end, however the "108K" design unfortunately does not. The blocks just appear in the middle of the obsidian platform and fall straight down with little to no momentum. I have of course tested the latter design in 1.19.2 single player and there it seems to work as intended (world download with said design and an accompanying End concrete generator: https://www.mediafire.com/file/mgfjmipswnyxmcc/Concrete_Reactor.zip/file).

Are there any server configuration parameters I should check or is this a current limitation of the plugin? Thanks in advance for your time.

Migrate to SpongePowered Configurate for config

This is very ugly. https://github.com/laymanuel/GravityControl/blob/main/src/main/java/io/github/laymanuel/gc/GravityControlConfig.java#L15-L45

Because of this, I hear about SpongePowered Configurate https://github.com/SpongePowered/Configurate which can do better and automatically, all of this.

It do not support YAML comments though. This is important feature, I check if it is possible to use without this and just copy file over. I do not need to write to file ever, so they should stay. Unless I add command to write to config. SpongePowered Configurate is also adding YAML Comment support with this Pull Request SpongePowered/Configurate#175. I do not know how soon this comes, I see and wait.

Can you make a port for Spigot?

Your plugin is one of a kind and is the only thing that seems to know how to re-enable this feature in the game. I know this may be a pet project, and you use paper. So I don't expect anything, but I think the spigot community would love to have gravity control as well. I know my friends, and I would enjoy it, and it would help our building.

Block Entity alignment is off

We have the plugin on our server to circumvent the paper dupe fix. After testing with RaysWorks style dupers we noticed that the alignment of the falling block entitys is off by exactly 8 pixels (half a block) in the west direction if they fly towards south end side, or towards north when the blocks fly towards west. I couldnt verify if they universally are misaligned towards northwest, but the alignment 90 deg off axis could be easily seen.
This issue is mainly problematic for collection and processing ( in my case a duping based concrete farm [design by squishy skittlzz]).
