chrome-zeroclickinfo's Issues

Misplaced search button in Chrome

Design breaks while trying to search, the search button is not aligned properly.

workspace 1_001

I am running Chrome Stable (Version 39.0.2171.95)

Add the ability to hide the query from the address bar

There should be an option to hide the query from the address bar (if possible at all in Chrome, obviously), as that was the initial reason I installed the extension instead of just using ddg as a chrome search engine.

Apparently the extension is using chrome.tabs.create(), which creates a new tab and makes an HTTP GET. I'm not sure if it's possible to make an HTTP POST with the query as parameter instead, but it would be a nice add on.

MacBook Pro Touchbar Flashing

The "Search DuckDuckGo Search" button in the Touchbar flickers during a page load.

It seems like it's "reloading" the button with every sub-request during the main page load (e.g., stylesheets, javascript, etc.)

I just downloaded this extension today, so it's the newest version.

Answers in other search engines

Is this functionality no longer working in Google? I can only get the regular Google answers to display in my Google results. Using the latest version in Chrome store v.42.8.12

Traffic appears to be unencrypted?

I noticed that the extension throws an error when HTTPSEverywhere redirects its traffic to the https version of DDG.

This makes me think that this extension isn't using HTTPS. Is this true? If so, can it be changed to use HTTPS?

Add README

It's a shame we already do not have one.

DuckDuckGo for chrome comes without pressing tab

I see DuckDuckGo for chrome come in the search just by typing:
'd' and space..when the description says only pressing Tab can make that option applicable.
This makes all my queries which have 'd ....' go through duckduckgo by default/

Invalid Shorthand Property Initializer

I get the following errors in the console on every page. They seem to be caused by the DuckDuckGo extension:

Errors

Errors

I am using the last version of Chrome on MacOS X.

Remove redundancy in code

Currently, the add button of the bangs is set with an img tag with src of the button icon. For every button, the long src url is common. Thus, removing the redundancy would make the code look good.

Tests not passing?

I'm downloading this for the first time.
