At least two possibilities exist :

• AlarmManager
• FCM http://www.appsdeveloperblog.com/push-notifications-example-kotlin-firebase/

Keeping in mind that android TV box may be in deep sleep state (going to check this once I finalize mobile version).

• From initial investigation it looks that AlarmManager is sufficient for my Goal;
• Check FCM anyway (to gain some experience with).

Investigate google music possibilities:

1. • launch random song;
2. • launch certain playlist;
3. • launch random song from certain playlist;
4. • check if google music sufficient to cover my needs.

Following functionality is expected:

• user able to set up alarm;
• user able to cancel pending alarm;
• user able to choose playback type for alarm (random song each time, selected playlist);
  -- it would be ideal to have capability to turn song shuffling on/off;
• weekly scheduling?

Note: probably I need to check fragment's based solution to reduce overhead with android TV UI

Following items should be covered:

• Identify proper logic for weekly scheduler;
  -- Note: Alarms are cleared after device reboot
• UI.

Store last used alarm parameters. Main screen should remember its last state.

• show next alarm time on main screen if scheduled;
• disable cancel button if there is no pending alarms.

Mobile UI is completed. Fragments can be ported to TV.

• Make good gitignore list
• Remove extra files from Git

TV box is not woken up by alarm manager. If I turn it ON after alarm I can see that expected app is actually active.
Probably there are 2 possibilities:

1. It was started in correct time, but this was insufficient for TV box to wake up;
2. It is started after I manually turn tv box on.
