The extension does absolutely nothing now. It looks to have been built with manifest_version = 2. Could this simply be a need to upgrade to manifest_version 3?

Just wanted to start off by saying, great work on the extension. I've tried it out personally, and enjoy what you've put together so far. But, a suggestion that I have would be to block the network request from loading all together, instead of having the fancy animation remove results from the screen, as if you're filtering a lot of information, it can be jarring and hard to focus.

If you look in your network tab, you can see the video request times are shown through the following path in the results?search_query=... file:

[1].response.continuationContents.itemSectionContinuation.contents[""0""].videoRenderer.lengthText.simpleText. This would cut down on unnecessary requests, and IMO, would be more user friendly.

I am using the extension on Brave browser.

The extension has a gray icon, which does not change color when (a) the extension has access to the website, and (b) when the filter is activated.

It would be nice if the colors change for these conditions.

For example, when it has access to the site, it should turn blue, and when a filter is active, it should be red.
