krunner-symbols's Issues

No results displayed in KRunner

I've tried installing this plugin with both the .deb file and the install script, and in both cases I get the same result: according to the command line output, the installation is successful, and when I go to the KRunner System Settings Module it says the plugin is installed and enabled. But when I type in a symbol name (e.g. I've tried "lambda" and "loremipsum"), no results are displayed from the Symbols plugin. I've not changed anything in the config at this point, so ~/.config/krunner-symbolsrc doesn't exist. When I create the config file and add a test string definition, that isn't displayed in the results either. (Also tried the obvious reinstalling the plugin and rebooting my system.)

I'm not really sure how to go about troubleshooting a KRunner plugin - am I missing something obvious?

Operating System: Ubuntu 20.04
KDE Plasma Version: 5.18.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.68.0

Here's the output from running the install script:

Can we somehow integerate it with CopyQ?

Like when searching in the clipboard history in copyQ, the saved items appears first? Can it be used like pinning items in the clipboard, like the native clipboard app in android?

Update AUR-Package

Hi Dominik,

love this addon, so thanks for it!
Just a quick reminder that your AUR-Package for it is not yet updated for 1.1. The PKGBUILD has been posted in the comments, but it would still be nice to update it :)

Merge with krunner upstream code

Hi!
Thanks for this nice krunner plugin, it works like a charm here and I'm curious why this isn't available in the normal, upstream version of krunner? Did you ever try to get it merged into the main code repo?

Best,
Flo

Multiple keywords for key

Would be great if there is a way to define multiple keywords for a key instead of creating multiple keys with the same value.

packages on Fedora

Hi! This is a list of packages I had to install on fedora 29 in order to compile krunner-symbols. It's most definitely not complete, but maybe it will get some people closer to a working plugin. :)

sudo dnf install cmake extra-cmake-modules kf5-ki18n-devel kf5-kservice-devel kf5-krunner-devel kf5-ktextwidgets-devel gettext

Missing package

Just a quick note to say that when I tried to install on Kubuntu 17.10, it complained of a missing "Qt5Quick" package, and looked for something named "qt5quick-config"

I solved the issue by installing qtdeclarative5-dev. Thought it my help mentioning it in the readme :)

Localization

This excellent plugin works only with the english names of symbols so far. It would be ideal if it could be used with other languages as well.

aur package

Hello,

seems like you provide the aur package yourself. Would you be so kind to update it as well? :-)

Thanks!

unicode characters encoding issue?

I am on a Arch-based distro, got symbols from AUR and enabled unicode. However, most characters are just show with the placeholder, also after copying:
