Proof of Stake (PoS) blocks rewards! about dogecoin HOT 5 CLOSED

Do you have a PoS scheme in mind? Like PPCoin's? Link to actual whitepaper would be nice.

I'll need to see what I can find-- but using NovaCoin or BottleCaps source would be a good start, as they are both combination PoW/PoS scrypt based coins. The transaction fees on a PoS are typically consumed by the network, to offset the PoS coin generation. https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Proof_of_Stake is a pretty good PoS primer.

It would require a fork of the block-chain though.... everyone would need to update.

I'm curious about this too. Not sure if it's worth the effort at this point, but there will never be a better time to do such a large update. We're bound to see forks in the daemon/client soon.

I'm in favor of this, this would make dogecoin the perfect replacement for litecoin AND PPCcoin/peercoin. The problem with litecoin is that it doesn't have proof of stake, and the problem with peercoin is that it doesn't use scrypt... (And I don't have to mention the problems bitcoin has)
