rhoana's Issues

Zoom

Zoom to selected points rather than to the center.

Provide Spacial Orientation

Perhaps lay a translucent image of the corresponding slide across the screen in order to give the user a sense of their orientation in the 3D image, and how that corresponds to the 2D image.

Label Designated Nerve Cord Color

For instance, if one is annotating a cell with the color "MistilyCitation" and another with the color "BuoyantVeto", label each in the 3D image (perhaps using a legend).

Contour Deletion

Need to send stop message to extractor when contour is deleted while still being made

Program Closes

Program closes when first action upon opening 3D viewer is to click black space (prior to clicking portions of the nerve cord, but regardless of rotations).

Highlight Anomolies

If possible, have the 3D viewer highlight errors, such as "missing" slides (breaks in the 3D reconstruction of the nerve cord).

Partial Nerve Cord Shown

Note: All nerve cords listed "begin" at slide 1.

  • Nerve cord identified by color "PlumagedAnointing" (green) goes through approximately 200 slides, and branches at slide 98. 3D viewer only shows the first 18 slides.
  • Nerve cord identified by color "DoglikeBandwagon" (pink) goes through slide 91, and does neither branch nor merge. 3D viewer only shows the first 38 slides.
  • Nerve cord identified by color "BehindSinlessness" (pink/orange) goes through slide 121 and branches at slide 35 and 102. 3D viewer only shows the first slide.
  • Nerve cord identified by color "FaithfulWave" (blue) goes through slide 64 and branches at slide 45. 3D viewer only shows the first 9 slides.
  • Nerve cord identified by color "ManicSkivvy" (purple/gray) goes thorugh slide 232 and branches at slide 176. 3D viewer only shows first 24 slides.
  • Nerve cord identified by color "SerbianEntrapment" (light green) goes through all 300 slides and does not branch. 3D viewer only shows the first 103 slides.

Loading Symbol

Include a symbol to demonstrate that the 3D viewer is in the process of incorporating slides into the image, as opposed to having gotten stuck or having completed the process.

3D History

Show previous 3D versions of the same axon/dendrite such that the user can reevaluate changes made.

correct layer numbers

currently the number of layers is calculated as the number of z files, which may not be correct if z files are missing.

Identify Slide Locations Outside the Nerve Cord

When clicking the 3D image in order to locate errors, etc on the 2D viewer, clicking outside the nerve cord causes the 2D viewer to immediately jump to the final slide. It would be useful to have computer approximations of slide locations in between and outside sections of nerve cord.
