Nether Star Seeds may use any Crux when in Crop Sticks

Modpack version:
Divine Journey 2 beta-version-0.1

Description:
Nether Star Seeds will grow when placed in crop sticks if any crux is used underneath, including the wrong crux.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Enter World
  2. Place any Crux underneath soil
  3. Place Nether Star Seed into Crop Stick
  4. Crop will grow, even when the wrong Crux is used

Expected behavior:
The Nether Star Seed would fail to grow on any Crux other than a Nether Star Crux

Odd/broken soul binder recipes appearing in JEI

Modpack version:
Beta 1

Description:

-Attempting to view where a filled soul vial comes from in JEI gives odd soul binder recipes
    -Example: viewing where the filled Enderman soul vial comes from shows that a Z-Logic Controller and 4 XP will give an empty soul vial and the Enderman Soul Vial, the recipe does not work. (broken recipe?)
-Scrolling through soul binder recipes causes the FPS to drop significantly (is this standard?)

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Open the game
  2. Get into a world
  3. Attempt to view where to get a filled soul vial, can be any mob

Expected behavior:
There should not be weird recipes appearing for filled soul vials. I do not know if the fps drop while viewing recipes is normal.

Arborial extractor quest broken

The arborial extractor quest wants a specific nbt value which is not the one the player gets when crafting (its possible to complete the quest by placing it on a ceiling then breaking it)

This pack however, expands the mods offered by Divine Journey 1, makes quality of life changes such as way less grinding and waiting for recipes to complete in the lategame, much fewer recipes that involve instability (like Thaumcraft Infusion), much less grind in general, for example, you no longer have to setup the Demon Invasion a trillion times, you no longer need to defeat every Witchery (or Bewitchment) boss a quadrillion times, and quest rewards tend to be a bit more generous this time.

This is a giant run-on sentence that's hard to parse, and also grammatically incorrect. I'd recommend splitting it into multiple sentences.

Crash with roots book

[Known Issue] Clicking the Aether Question Mark icon in the inventory crashes the game

Description:
Aether Legacy adds its own tab in the inventory, but clicking this icon crashes the client:

The reason this can't currently be fixed:
Even though Aether Legacy (or Aether I) has received an update that fixes this, Tinker's Aether is incompatible with the newer Aether releases. Once Tinker's Aether gets updated, this bug will be fixed.

Workaround:
Don't click the button.

Quest #847, #865 don't accept anything other than oak part builder to complete quest.

Description:
Quest #847, #865 don't accept anything other than oak part builder to complete quest.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Use any wood other than oak to make a Part Builder and Stencil Table from Tinkers' Construct
  2. Not get quest completion

Expected behavior:
All types of Part Builders and Stencil Tables should complete the quest.

Additional context:
The Part Builder and Stencil Table can be made out of almost any wood but the quest only accepts oak. I made sure to read the quest description this time lol.

Typo in quests due to not be able todo a certain ritual

Location:
Chapter 17 - Quest "Will you this for me? - #1694 - Step 3

You need to delete the majority of that step, due to the ritual of peaceful souls does not exist(Its a addon mod)

Exact fix:
Maybe say something like : Step 3. You have 2 options here: Use a couple Powered Spawners to spawn passive animals in the chunk; or use cursed earth to spawn hostile mobs.

Auto Extreme Crafting Table crashes server

Modpack version:
Beta idk

Description:
I accidentally clicked the Auto Extreme Crafting Table in JEI and got it in my inv and decided to just place it and open it.
The server crashed.
In singleplayer I don't even have to right click it. Just placing it and waiting a bit crashes the game.

When did the crash happen?
After I right clicked the Auto Extreme Crafting Table, but I think it crashes by just placing it.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Get the Auto Extreme Crafting Table
  2. Place click it
  3. Wait or right click it
  4. Crash

How much RAM did you dedicate to your client and how much RAM does your PC have?
I have 16gb and in GDLauncher I just set it to the max 16384mb, but in minecraft it says about 14-15gb dedicated.
It doesn't really use more than 10gb.

Fully Automatically Dealing with Flux Probably Impossible

Modpack version:
Beta 0.1

Describe the request:
Make fully automatic flux removal easier. This should be done by making the flux condenser setup automatable by making essentia filters automatable
Reasons why this should be added:
To my knowledge there is no way to fully automatically deal with flux

Describe alternatives you've considered: / solutions
1: Make an automatable recipe for essentia filter, these can be used to "unclog" flux condenser lattices which will eventually clog preventing the flux condenser from functioning.
2. Make a modular machine multiblock for arcane crafting. This would make most of thaumcraft automatable, as it currently stands you will still need to craft a lot with the arcane crafting table (Essentia tubes -> Essentia valves -> alchemical constructs -> Thaumium essentia smeltery -> witches' oven -> most bewitchment "machines")

Additional context:
Flux condensers are currently not fully automatable. The Lattice will "clog" requiring a essentia filter to clean
There may be another way of fully automatically dealing with flux that I am unaware of as I am not super familiar with late game thaumcraft and thaumic augmentation.
You can semi-automate flux condensers by putting essentia filters in mechancial users

Personally I think solution 2 would be the best, but it is possible to semi-automate flux condensers

There wasnt really a miscellaneous catagory so I suppose I just thought I'd put it here in "typos"

The shortcuts quest talks about how enabling F3+H gives the player the information of what prerequisite quests any quest needs to be finished before said quest can be started. However that information is available regardless of whether you have the extended tooltips active or not.

Just like in my previous issue about low-hanging typos, I'm providing a diff file that can be applied to the commit [main db9e942]. Please check #19 if you want more info about the process I'm using for these particular changes.

This diff contains over 70 changed lines, and concludes my check for low-hanging typos in DefaultQuests.json. There are still possibly many typos and improvements to be made, which are covered in the slower but more detailed check by the other members of the typos team.

Not all stones added by Underground Biomes can be used to make furnaces.

Modpack version:

Description:
The cobblestones added by Underground Biomes, when compressed and slabbed don't work for making furnaces. But collecting them does work for the previous quest requiring the collection of stone.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Get any type of compressed cobble or slab from the Underground Biomes mod and try to make a furnace
  2. No furnace

Expected behavior:
If the new stones work for the previous quest I would assume they will work for the furnace

Abyssalcraft energy quests

Modpack version:

Description:
The overworld and wastleland potential quests want empty collectors but they keep thier charge when upgrading
It uses nbt for energy storage and metadata for tier

Magical snow globe quest bugged

Modpack version:

Description:
When crafted the magical snowglobe will mark off whatever biome you're standing in and the quest wants one without any marked biomes
The completed snowglobe has a damage of one so its easy (probably) to check for that instead

Glod crystal quest reward bugged

For the crystal bundle and empowred crystal bundle quests the block of glod reward isnt right

What comes after atum(n) is too tedious

Describe the request:
It needs all 4 types of artifacts and each pyrimid isnt that bad so doing 4 of them to make it wouldnt be that bad but its rng so many more attempts would be needed (I got 3 melee in a row)

Describe alternatives you've considered:
Change the loot tables so each pyrimid drops 2 artifacts
or change it so any 4 artifacts could be used or such

[Known Issue] Immersive Engineering loadEntities NullPointerException

Description:

Upon entering the world or a chunk with an Immersive Engineering machine, the game crashes. When loading up the world again, it keeps crashing and it's impossible to get back into the world.

Caused by:

An Immersive Engineering machine and all included tile entities got corrupted. It's likely because the machine was built on a chunk border, and half of the machine has been loaded for significantly more time than the other.

The reason this can't fully be fixed:
Immersive Engineering 1.12.2 is no longer receiving any updates, see here:
https://github.com/BluSunrize/ImmersiveEngineering/labels .
(Even though a lot of people seem to have this issue, examples here: BluSunrize/ImmersiveEngineering#2672 )

Workaround / Fix:

  1. Don't build Immersive Engineering machines on chunk borders.

  2. Okay - you're clearly here because you have built one on a chunk border. In that case the best solution is to load up a backup from the backups folder, then either go into the Chunk with the machine and disassemble it, or if you keep crashing when entering the chunk, even when loading from the backup, then keep reading the next point.

  3. If you can get into the world without loading the chunk containing the corrupted machine, use /cofh killall (this requires admin level permissions). It removes all tile entities (even from unloaded chunks), so ones that you wouldn't even want to remove. Might be overkill.

  4. Remove Immersive Engineering from the pack, load it up, open your world, then add back the mod. (Though you might need to remove more mods that require Immersive Engineering first. Typically these are AgriCraft, AgriCraft Integration & Mystical Agriaddons.) This will (obviously) remove all blocks, entities and tile entities that come from those mods.

  5. If you think the previous points were too much, well, you're in for a treat - it's time to use MCEdit and NBTExplorer to remove the corrupted tile entities.
    5/a) First load up your Minecraft world with MCEdit 2, find your machine (if you can't see much/anything, try to highlight a large area to figure out where you are).
    5/b) Once you found the machine, click Inspect Chunk. Now MCEdit 2 is still pretty buggy, so it can't correctly remove the Immersive tile entities, so this is where NBTExplorer comes in.
    5/c) Remember the chunk position(s) of the corrupted machine(s). These can be read from here:

    5/d) Open NBTExplorer. Click the topleft button to open a file. Look for saves/*worldname* in Singleplayer, or the world folder in Multiplayer. If all the affected machines are in the Overworld, then open the region folder. Otherwise a DIM.../region folder. (To find the correct dimension ID, check the list here: https://github.com/Divine-Journey-2/main/blob/main/README.md). You might need to look through multiple region files before you find the right chunk coordinate pair. This is the value MCEdit shows, not the first column:

    5/e) Once you found the correct chunk, open it and open Level, then Tile Entities.

    5/f) Look for any entry that reads id: immersiveengineering:.... These usually have the same number of entries (although with this method you can easily miss some files).
    5/g) Press the Delete key on all of these folders (where it says some number of ... entries).
    5/h) Click on Save at the top.
    5/i) Reload your world. If it still crashes, you missed some machines. Good luck!

Laser Focus Crafting Times

Modpack version:
Beta 0.1

Describe the request:
Increase the rf/t required for most Laser Focus Crafting recipes or decrease the total rf/t required

Reasons why this should be changed:
A majority of the laser focus crafting recipes require > 10 seconds to craft and are frequently used as components in other recipes
Ex: Draconic Energy Core takes 80 seconds to craft
Mirion Ingots x4 takes 50 seconds to craft - which can also be made in 5 seconds with the empower
Mirion is a component of draconic cores - thus limiting how quickly you can get draconic cores.

Describe alternatives you've considered:
Either increase the power drain of the multi-block or decrease the total rf required. I think to a factor of 10 or more would be reasonable, especially for a later-game multi-block. This would also make it as fast as the empower - a mid game machine.

Additional context:
You may be able to tick accelerate the multi-block with the hologium astral sorcery ritual

Small bug reports: Quest and Recipe

Description:

  1. Bug: Iron Ore Quest #839 accepts any kind of ores, not just Iron Ores
  2. Bug: Furnace recipe only accepts Vanilla Slabs, not Underground Biomes Ones

Low-hanging typos (using diff-based method)

I made the changes directly to DefaultQuests.json and am providing a git diff file for it because I currently do not have write permissions for this repo, and therefore cannot push new branches or commits to it. You can apply this diff file to the commit [main 2cad103] to see the changes I propose.

These are low-hanging fruit, meaning that I formatted the quests file and smashed them into a word processor, then used the word processor's spell-check functionality to find obvious errors. Even then, going through and actually correcting about 1/3 of the quest book took several hours. This commit contains changes for approximately the first 1/3 of the quest book and I intend to continue this process another day.

This diff contains over 100 fixed typos.

Description:
On a smaller screen, the main menu is scaled too big to use mods, version history, discord, and quit game button, even though the rest of the menu (the text in the corners) is also scaled down.

  2. On a smaller screen (You can also shrink the window size of the game) the menu will be too large.

Irritating quest description(tall grass/grass)

Location:
Chapter 3 Quest Number #1598 and #1602

Exact fix:
The term of tall grass made me think that you had to break double tall grass(2 high grass blocks) yet it also worked with 1 high grass blocks. Maybe just a my bad but could happen to others. My suggestion would be to just say grass.

Bedrock pick and such is too op

Describe the request:
The bedrock pick is unbreakable and obsidian mining level its very cheap
The bedrock armor is also very strong but isnt as cheap as the single pick but its better than any off the other available options

Reasons why this should be changed:
The pick is op with execavate as it dosent take damage and besides blocks with a higher mining level no other picks are needed
The armour is very good and would probably be fine it it was more expensive

Describe alternatives you've considered:
Disable the pick, make the armour more expensive (such as one piece per craft instead of 3)

Graphite Dust does not turn into hyper diamonds when automatically dropper

Description:
Quantum Flux graphite dust does not turn into hyper diamonds when dropped by most automatable methods.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Get into a world
  2. Drop the graphite dust using an open crate and hopper
  3. Cause an explosion near it ex: click on a creeper statue
  4. The dust will not turn into a hyper diamond and may be destroyed with more explosions

Expected behavior:
The dust turns into a hyper diamond

Additional context:
The botania's open crate, vanilla's dropper, and the automatic precision dropper did not work
Open Block's item dropper and dropping the graphite by hand did work

EDIT: This is an intentional feature by QuatumFlux, Maybe update the questbook saying that they must use the openblock's item dropper.

All usages of `lookup` should be `look up`

There are 7 cases in the quest book where lookup is incorrectly used in place of look up. For brevity I won't list where they all are, but I have checked them individually as well.

[Known Issue] Crafting a Skyroot Remedy Bucket duplicates the Skyroot Bucket

Description:
Whenever you enchant a Skyroot Poison Bucket into a Skyroot Remedy Bucket in the Enchanter, an Empty Bucket gets left behind, practically duplicating the Skyroot Bucket. (See image below.)

The reason this can't currently be fixed:
Even though Aether Legacy has received further updates to fix this, Tinkers' Aether doesn't work with these versions. If Tinkers' Aether gets updated, I can update Aether Legacy as well, fixing this issue.

Workaround:

Keep your free Skyroot Bucket.

AE2 does not recognize Crafting Storage multiblocks if there are only Extra CPUs blocks present.

Description:
Applied Energistics 2 ME Networks will not recognize a Crafting Storage multiblock structure if there are only Extra CPUs blocks present (256-16384k Crafting Storages). Adding a regular (1-64k Crafting Storage) block will allow the machine to recognize the multiblock.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Create an ME network
  2. Attach a Crafting Co-Processing Unit and any Extra CPUs crafting storage block
  3. Try autocrafting an item
  4. Network doesn't recognize the multiblock, and allows the craft.

Expected behavior:
Network recognizes the multiblock and allows the autocrafting
