Quick background details - I am using a macOS 10.15.5 laptop, and recently downloaded NBM-v2.0.4.

I don't have a personal server, and am using the services of a couple of free NextCloud service providers:

1.) emma.cloud.tabdigital.eu
2.) nextcloud03.webo.hosting

On trying to connect with these servers, I encountered the following error in both the cases. SS attached:

I downgraded the version of NBM to check for compatibility, and used NBM-v2.0.3 and v2.0.2. Same error!

Obviously, since I couldn't login, the bookmarks.json file is showing data = "null". Any help appreciated.

NBM: v2.0.4 / Catalina, dark mode
Problem: (cosmetic)
Pick the "Home" folder, and editing a bookmark, All Bookmarks is shown, but the "Home" Folder name is still highlighted, as is the All Bookmarks "tab".

Expectation:
The Home folder name is not highlighted.

Reproduce:
Pick the "Home" Folder (highlights the folder name), Select a bookmark, edit it and save the change.
Note that a refresh is done to show all bookmarks, but the "Home" folder name previously selected is still highlighted.
I've only seen this with the "Home" folder.

Hi, noticed there is no visible sync button or option within the menu. Also noticed the close, minimize, maximize buttons missing on MacOS 10.12.

After successfully gaining access to my account I just see this:

The export file exports bookmarks in a long, flat list. I'd like it to preserve my folder names / hierarchical structure.

Hey nice app! It looks really good. What would be super nice, is if I could double-click a bookmark to open it in my browser. It doesn't seem to do that right now. I have to right click and then open.

I also love your MacOS Notes client. Finally somebody did it right! I've tried explaining developers this is how it should be, but they're too stubborn and clueless about user friendliness. But I found it completely by accident. It should really be linked from the main Nextcloud website. It blows the others out of the water.

I dont know if its an issue or is there an issue with my mac or NC instance,
But it seems that each time i launch the app, it retreive all the bookmark and its take times (several minuts)

Is there any kind of cache in the app ?
that you can view all the bookmark at the launch and then an assynchrone synchro in background ?

Just tried out tags for the first time, by editing a bookmark in this tool. I noticed two tags were shown instead of one.

The tag shows up just once in the edit window, as it should.

But shows up twice elsewhere.

It really is the only bookmark with any tags...

I tried removing the tag, and after hitting update and trying to select All Bookmarks, the app hung.
I stopped & restarted it, then added the tab back again, and it shows up as two tags as before.

It is not possible to add folders within folders. Also, if a multi-level hierarchy is used in Nextcloud Bookmarks, Nextcloud Bookmark Manager displays all folders (including subfolders) in a flat list.

Can it handle ~50k bookmarks, without lagging?

If the window is made too narrow, the line becomes somewhat hidden. Text on the line is no longer visible, but the twisty and alternate shading of the lines is still seen. It appears the first column containing the twisty expands to fill the window (so the Title and other columns are beyond the right edge of the window).

I can still click on those lines and they expand to show the details of a BM.
Making the window wider again returns the width of the first column to normal.

This might be related. The Titles on my book marks can be quite long (whatever was captured by the bookmark function in the browser). For example: "Maytag 5.3 cu. ft. High-Efficiency White Top Load Washing Machine with Deep Clean Option, ENERGY STAR-MVWB835DW - The Home Depot"

Secondary query: Why isn't there a scrollbar at the bottom of the page if the width of the columns expands beyond the width of the window?

Is there any plan to support folders?
I use floccus to sync NC bookmarks to the bookmarks tab in my (chromium based) browsers (haven't tried it with FF, yet). Because of this, using folders instead of tags is a way of life.

I'm a semi-organized person. I have separate OS & Nextcloud accounts for work, school, other-work and daily-life/play (I stay a bit busy). Similarly, I have different sets of bookmarks for each focus, and when I'm in one of work/school/other-work mode, nextcloud-bookmark-manager works really well. However, when I'm in the daily-life focus, I tend to multitask a lot, and use multiple in-browser profiles, each relating back to the other focuses. (actually have more profiles than focuses, like finances and play are both part of daily-life, but are different browser profiles)
This means I may want to switch back and forth in nextcloud-bookmark-manager between these different Nextcloud accounts. I guess I'm asking for an easy way to switch back and forth without having to log-off / log-on each time through nextcloud-bookmark-manager. It would seem that adding a profile manager to nextcloud-bookmark-manager would do the trick.

Is there a plan to integrate a browser, to show the bookmarks directly in the app?
That would be very helpful I believe.

The title is truncated, regardless of how wide the column is. I'm also not able to change the width of the columns, independent of window size.

I'm running Nextcloud Bookmark Manager 2.0.5 on macOS 10.15.7.

I found the display of the "Folders" to be not correct. It is fine though in the edit dialog, see screenshot below

I tried to help myself by enabling Developer Tools by removing the comments from menu-app.*.js
As a result I have the menu but cannot get a console window. Perhaps you have some hint for me too.

I love the ability to use and synchronise my bookmarks between various browsers and operating systems using Nextcloud Bookmarks. For Safari there is no solution so I tried this application. Although I can access all the bookmarks it misses the ability to organise them using the folders I have on Nextcloud.

So, is it possible to add folder support?

this app looks quite nice, can you make a port for Linux and Windows? As it is written in Electron this might be doable with relatively low effort? Are there some pieces that are MacOS-specific?

I upgraded from 2.0.2 to 2.0.3 today. When I start 2.0.3, it generates the error...
TypeError: Cannot read property 'text' of undefined.

After you click [ok] to clear that message, the spinner continues indefinitely and no data is shown.
I do not see this error in 2.0.2.

Apparently there is an issue with Bookmarks 0.16.0:

ArgumentCountError: Too few arguments to function OCA\Bookmarks\Controller\Rest\BookmarkController::__construct(), 8 passed in /srv/nextcloud/apps/bookmarks/appinfo/application.php on line 72 and exactly 9 expected

or just another app look-like this for Windows... I accept any suggestion, I try almost 100 of this kind of apps, without finding a suitable one, this is done very well: each bookmark is on the right and in line, and the folders on the left, with just one click you can change everything. pls help (Windows sucks, but it's the best for gaming, so... -_-)

I cannot find a way to close the More Info pop up, which appears after selecting About Nextcloud Bookmark Manager, besides exiting the entire program. Thanks!

Please add URL as a column.
This would make it easier to identify bookmarks that are very similar, especially where the Title is different. For instance:
"Main page!" example.com/
"Login here" example.com/login
"Overview" example.com/dashboard
