Quotes App project enables a user create a new quote, upvote or downvote a quote,delete a quote and see the number of upvotes and number of downvotes for each quote.
- Your Project should be created using the Angular CLI.
- Your project should contain a custom model class for the quote
- Your project should have a custom directive to highlight the quote that has the highest upvotes.
- Your project should contain a form component that has input sections for the quote, the author, and the person who submitted the quote.
- Each quote must begin with an initial upvote and downvote value of 0
- Your project should have a component to display the quote and a component to display quote details. For example, the quote details could have the author of the quote and the votes it has.
- Your project should contain a custom pipe that shows how much time has passed since the quote was created.
Quotes App allows the user to:
- Create a new quote.
- Upvote or downvote a quote.
- Delete a quote
- See the number of upvotes and number of downvotes for each quote.
These instructions will get you a copy of the project up and running on your local machine for development and testing purposes. See deployment for notes on how to deploy the project on a live system.
These are the softwares needed to execute the project:
- IDEs include either: Atom, VS Code, Brackets.
- Browsers include either: Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox.
- Operating System either: Linux Operating System, Apple macOS, Microsoft Windows.
This project was generated with Angular CLI version 7.1.4.
Run ng serve
for a dev server. Navigate to http://localhost:4200/
. The app will automatically reload if you change any of the source files.
Run ng generate component component-name
to generate a new component. You can also use ng generate directive|pipe|service|class|guard|interface|enum|module
.
Run ng build
to build the project. The build artifacts will be stored in the dist/
directory. Use the --prod
flag for a production build.
Run ng test
to execute the unit tests via Karma.
Run ng e2e
to execute the end-to-end tests via Protractor.

Open your terminal to a specific directory for example Desktop
git init
git clone https://github.com/DancunManyinsa/Quotes.git
A folder by the name Quotes appears on your desktop
Open the folder and click on the index.html file. Open the file on your browser and you'll view Quotes App project.
Open your terminal
cd/Desktop/Quotes/
atom .
