DetailedLoLRPC

A better Discord Rich Presence for League of Legends.
Report Bug · Request Feature

About The Project

This project was created as a replacement for League of Legends' outdated Discord Rich Presence.

Features

  • Display your current skin instead of default splash arts
  • Updated splash arts for outdated ones
  • Proper splash arts for newer champions
  • More detailed mode texts (Ranked Solo/Duo/Flex, TFT Double Up, ...)

And many more ...

Getting Started

To start using DetailedLoLRPC, follow these steps:

Prerequisites

  • Windows 7 and above
  • League of Legends
  • Discord

Installation & Usage

  1. Download the latest Release (It might be flagged by your antivirus, whitelist it if that's the case)
  2. Make sure LoL is not running. Run DetailedLoLRPC.exe
  3. If the Riot Client is not running, you'll have to manually specify the required path.
  4. League of Legends will now automatically run with its Rich Presence replaced with DetailedLoLRPC.

Options

You can right click the tray icon to toggle various settings:

  • "Use skin's splash and name": Display the current skin's splash and name on Discord. If disabled, default skin and champion name will be used instead.
  • "Show "View splash art" button": Display a button on Discord that allows viewing the current skin's splash.
  • "Idle status": Choose an idling status to show on Discord (If this doesn't update first try, you can try creating and leaving a lobby)
  • "Reset preferences": Reset all settings to their default values. You have to use this if you want to move your Riot Games folder to another directory.
  • "Report bug": Open the the page to report a bug and the folder containing the necessary logs.
  • "Exit": Exit DetailedLoLRPC (LoL's native RPC will not be re-enabled until the next time you start LoL using the Riot Client)

If you change any settings while in the middle of a game, they will be applied the next time you start a game.

Resource Usage

CPU usage is ~0%. Memory usage is ~50MB.

When first running, CPU usage could spike up to 25% for a few seconds

To do

  • Join lobby button on Discord

Disclaimer

  • I will not hold responsibility for any bans caused by DetailedLoLRPC. (In theory it won't happen because DetailedLoLRPC only uses the API provided by the Client itself. Although it does tamper with the plugin-manifest.json file to disable the native RPC, I think it's fine)

detailedlolrpc's Issues

The Future of this Project

Will the new Anti-cheat changes make this program useless?
It tinkers with the league files and I think the anti-cheat would not like it that much...

Failed to exexute script...

Getting this Error when launching the exe. I suppose its because the program expects League to be installed on C Drive, which is not the case for me.

it says it can't find discord but i have it on :(

it gives me an error saying it can't find discord on the machine but i have it on, maybe perhaps it's cause i use vencord along with it? i used to have windows 10 with vencord as well and it worked fine but i switched to windows 11 after my pc reset

Having Trouble Getting It To Work

I could just be dumb but I can't get it to work :(

I followed the 4 steps and it just doesn't work... The presence just won't show at all, or it does show but it will just be the default league icon and how long I've been playing for. No champ picture, No lobby info, No nothing...

Also, I got two different error windows when I was trying to fix it by trying to uninstall and install it again.

The first one was "no folder found" or smth, but that never showed again after I installed it with the Client open

The last one was "Unhandled exception in script" that I personally don't know what it means and it only showed the first time ran the setup.exe

Now it will open and all with no error window but it doesn't work :(

Question for you

I was wondering if there would be a way to completely disable Discord rich presence? I've been trying to figure something out but I do not think I am smart enough. Thank you for any help if you are able to.

Arena RPC not disappearing after exiting early

The Title says almost everything.
When you lose Arena early, and exit to the launcher the RPC will still show that you play, until the entire game is stopped.
This happend already 2 times, maybe it was an error at my side. Just wanted to mention it

Autostart when Leauge starts

I always start League via the Riot Games Client and often forget that I had the EXE on my desktop...
Is there a way to check if the game is starting and then start the program with it?
