I want to add a Facebook button at the top of the SF Event record. When pressed, we can link to our FB account.
When we publish this event, it creates an event record on our Facebook profile. Any edits we make in SF are reflected in the FB event, as well.
If people register for the FB event, their information is pushed into SF as an event attendee.
People can share or comment on the event and their comments show on our event landing page, as well as on the FB event page. Can i do it use this tool? Please give me some advice.
The Permissions picklist on the Facebook App object is out of date. Many of the listed permissions no longer exist, and should be deleted from the picklist. New permissions at https://developers.facebook.com/docs/facebook-login/permissions need to be added.
Unfortunately every of my attempt fails by implementing your package into my salesforce instance.
The package is installed, all configuration steps are done but when I try to test the facebook connection I always get the same error message:
Received 400 from https://graph.facebook.com/me?access_token=null {"error":{"message":"Invalid OAuth access token.","type":"OAuthException","code":190,"....
I tried to find out what can be the reason for this by reviewing the facebook developer docu and the force one as well but couldn't find the reason. Can you help me?
Hey thanks for putting this together its really helpful! I did have an issue installing where I had to enable the checkbox to ignore test code but after that it installed correctly.
I was able to get to the 'access token' and 'client' fields to populate but if I go to social samples now I'm getting a list has no rows for assignment error. What step am I missing?
You can retrieve messages via the me/inbox connection, with the read_mailbox permission. Currently, though, the toolkit does not include classes for the Thread and Message Graph API objects.
