Where is the miner?

Hi There,

i tried to start mining DERO. But in the binaries is no miner included.

In your documentation i found this: https://github.com/deroproject/wiki/wiki/Mining

Here it´s written
3. Run miner with wallet address and no. of threads based on your CPU.
./dero-miner --mining-threads..........

My Question now is, where do i get this Miner? Ive searched the net, but everything for Linux seems to be outdated/dead.

Greetings

Hoping you guys might be able to assist. Either way, here's a bug or two.

I realize that my issue originates at DEROFoundation, which appears to be loosely connected to you guys but you seem more active. Anyways, I'll try to be brief. My first exposure to DERO was through the CMD wallet tool for Linux.

Through it I played around a quite a bit, generated some wallets, tried to figure out how to generate multiple keys for the same wallet to use. Through my efforts, I inadvertently made multiple different wallets... 6-8 weeks ago and have been mining with a View Only wallet ever since.

How to reproduce:

  1. Generate a wallet with CMD. Get the seed. Generate the View only 128 character key.
  2. Restore the wallet with the 128 char view key.
  3. In said view only wallet, in Options, get the 25 word seed. (Which now makes no sense so not sure why I did this, multiple times). This 25 word seed, I believe is a completely random seed.
  4. Restore using the seed. The receive wallet address is completely different, along with the view key.
    <then I did this about 5 more times>

So now I have my original seed... and a few iterations later, I have my View Only Key and matching Receive wallet ID that I've been mining with for 6-8 weeks on 3 laptops and a server.

The $ is only like 1.2 DERO, so $25. But it's the time that's killing me. I'm wondering if there's any recourse. My (clearly) limited knowledge says no, but I thought I'd toss it out here. Roughly, I have:

original seed

random 25 seed. - GONE
View only key and Receive wallet I've been mining with.
random 25 word seed - I have this.
View only key and unused receive wallet. Have but useless.

Seems I'm missing the one thing I need. Except I can prove I have the view only wallet and the key to generate it.

I'm hoping maybe there's soemthing in the CMD code that isn't quite so random and maybe it generates based off the wallet name entered and passwords, but I've done enough troubleshooting that even if there is something, it's probably unlikely that I even remember what convention or passwords I was using that the time.

There you have it. At the very least, I figured I should let you know so this doesn't happen to anyone else.

Seems I've been around just long enough to see DERO go from $13-22... something from my 6 months of heavy crypto research/education that I've not seens yet. Congrats. Must be exciting times in your realm.

Thanks.
