Video resolution seems to default to pretty low resolution. Even if I use the "vq" option as a URL querystring, it still defaults to low quality.

In Mojave dark mode, the icon is invisible because it has the same color as the background.

Received an error that the app needs to be updated. The program does not show that it is running or will not run on my Macbook Air (M1) running version 11.4.

For me it works in macOS Monterey. Just had a quick question: when will the stable version be released?
Also a suggestion would be adding a feature to allow multiple video downloads.

An option to quit the app from menu bar.

When I click on YouTube Downloader, I get the toolbar arrow.

When I click on that arrow and copy and paste the YouTube link into the box if I hit ENTER or DOWNLOAD, either one, I get a spinning icon but then nothing happens.

I have tried several YouTube links with the same results.

I'm thinking maybe add some interactions would be better, something like configuring the download path on the system. If we can agree on that, I could open a PR to push that improvement.

not working in macos monterey

When I try to download a video (this one) it crashes.

YouTube Downloader Beta 0.9, MacOS 12.5 (21G72).

Doesn't open, when I try to delete the app Finder says it is still open, doesn't show up in dock or Force Quit dialog.

This is what pops up when I try to open the app from the Launchpad menu. (I translated from French)

A second line of text says : This software has to be updated. Turn to the developer for more information.

Meanwhile I just installed the app on an up-to-date Mac OS 11.4 Big Sur.
Is Youtube Downloader incompatible with M1 yet ?

Appreciate the fantastic app! Very tidy and simple to use.

Just curious if there are any other people who prefer to download audio mp3 files rather than the entire video.

When I put the link to a YouTube video, it just goes away from the menu bar and opens the Downloads folder with no video downoaded. Using the "untested" Apple Silicon version.
