I'm currently doing this to get the pixel coords then using rasterio to convert to geographic coordinates:
flow_x = flowpaths[0]//elevtn.shape[0]
flow_y=flowpaths[0]%elevtn.shape[0]
from pyflwdir.
@JasonDalton This function is available but perhaps not clearly documented.
To convert the linear flow path indices to lists of xy coordinates you can use the xy method
flowpaths, dists = flw.path(xy)
flow_x, flow_y = flw.xy(flowpaths)
To convert to a geopandas GeoDataFrame to save to e.g. geojson / shape file, you can also the geofeatures method:
import geopandas as gpd
feats = flw.geofeatures(flowpaths)
gdf_paths = gpd.GeoDataFrame.from_features(feats, crs=crs)
Note that this requires you to set the transform upon initialization of the FlwdirRaster flw
from pyflwdir.
Closing this issue with the comments above. @JasonDalton please reopen if the suggested methods do not work for your case.
