There are no wheels-files for Python 3.11 on PyPi right now.

Building the wheels by myself results in various errors (at least on Oracle Linux and in Debian Docker Containers).
The build issue is mentioned here for completeness and should not be part of this issue, but depicting the relevance.

Steps:

1. Create python 3.8.3 32bit virtual env.
2. Clone the repo.
3. pip3.8.exe --no-cache-dir install path to doublemetaphone. open doublemetaphone/double_metaphone.cc by notepad and can see the encoding is ansi.
4. several errors, such as line 634 case 'Ñ'
5. save the file as utf-8 encoding. then pip install again.
6. now succeed.

The Readme should be expanded to include:

• installation
• testing
• team / credits
• errors / bugs
• copyright / license

Problem

On aarch64, pip install doublemetaphone builds the wheels from source code and then install it. It requires user to have development environment installed on his system. also, it take some time to build the wheels than downloading and extracting the wheels from pypi.

Resolution

On aarch64, pip install doublemetaphone should download the wheels from pypi

@fgregg, Please let me know your interest on releasing aarch64 wheels. I can help in this.

I'm working on submitting this package to conda-forge – see my PR. As part of this, I would like to include a license file for this project.

Could you please add one to the project and to the MANIFEST.in file?
