Any way to add a line for reducing lucerne to growth level 1 or 2 instead of completely destroying it? Would be extremely helpful since you can harvest it continuously. I managed to change the grass effect to the 2nd growth stage for a bit more realism but I'm not exactly sure how to add lucerne to the code.
Your question: Is this going to be upgraded to FS17?
My answer: Maybe, but probably not because of the already existing '4Real Module 01 - Crop Destruction'.
Depends on what "style of crop destruction" I experience with my game-plays. If the '4Real Module' becomes too 'destructive' depending on wheels and growth-state, I might consider upgrading WheelLanes to FS17.

Firstly I have to admits, that this is most comprehensive mod of WheelLanes. However as written in source code it cause FPS drop in MP.
What I observer line 247 is causing constantly 15-20% of total scripts calculations.
Is there a chance to optimize MP performance. We use this mod all time, so can contribute to tests.
Wondering if there is a work around for using a plow to plow withered crops as fertilizer and using wheel lanes..
In order to plow the crop into the ground, you need to drive over it, destroying the crop before your plow reaches it... this results in about a +2N in the soil rather than +5N if there was no crop destruction...
I can disable wheel lanes when I want to plow a cover crop.. but hoping there is a tweak that can be made. Perhaps making the same exception for withered crops as with grass/alfalfa/luzerne/clover.
In reality, if the tractor passing through the grass, the grass does not disappear, it can mow. May make an exception - to remain minimal grass roll after passing through it. This can be done for wheat and barley.

Being curious I was comparing differences between version 0.8 and 0.9, and found lines:
133 and 158 with following code

aren't area.wz
typed twice, where first one should be (I suppose) area.wx
, comparing to old:
area.x, area.z, area.widthX, area.widthZ, area.heightX, area.heightZ, -- destination parallelogram

As in subject we observe that vehicles tend to destroy plants only by one side at a time. I don't know if this is map specific as we use 4x map.
We will do another tests on 1x map.
I'm running a dedicated server with WheelLanes active and it seems to work for the combines and other tractors I've tried, but the PiQup does not destroy any crops.
It should be noted that at the time of finding this out, sunflowers was the only field that was above growth stage 2 to test on, so I could not verify problem against other crops.
