It might be interesting to specify the user that is executing the task. Kind of like su $user. Could work like this:

iexec -u johnsmith -w /home/johnsmith -- whoami && pwd

I'm thinking we would daemonize a task under a different user id for security reasons. For example, root could daemonize a process as user johnsmith to prevent the daemonized process from having root permission, access to /root, etc

Thoughts?

Using freopen(out_filename, "w", stdout) does not work if both out_filename and err_filename point to the same file. freopen(out_filename, "a", stdout) does not truncate the file if it exists but allows the same file to be reopened. There should be support for using the same file for both output and error.
