cant level up (seems fixed for me thanks to the update)

when i create a new char it says max level at 1, old char are now stuck at there level aswell, im on the 18-09-2016 version 0055CFI1

i tested some more its only in the dail-world001.map , the other 2 are working normal

Broken masteries

VC, DH, and Engineer are reported as "broken." Test plays fine on local.

MP spawned npc issues

^if you play multiplayer with other people, if other players aren't in a close vicinity when the (component vendor) npcs appear - it won't be visible to others once they get there, only to the first player

priest / grove keeper still borked

*"Priest" problems
Still no offensive summons in Priest like there should be either, makes the pet bonuses it has useless by itself.
update "priest" to be whatever is in the latest dawn of heroes update

Omega Mod Hero Souls

I am not sure exactly what caused it, but it would seem that after the update to 0054, hero souls from omega mod have stopped dropping from all heroes in campaign mode. (or custom game DAIL - world001 if you prefer)

general frost knight issues

*While Frost Knight is looking much better, it's still got broken parts.
It looks like Frost Aura is not itself, but rather one of the old attack skills, including the modifiers.
The second modifier has a tag not found error for the name as well, tagFKSkillName02C.
Howling Wind is missing the graphic (description mentions a cone of cold) and bizarrely has poison damage.
Path of Frost's built-in devotion skill has another tag not found error for the pet it summons, tagPetWraith.
Hoarfrost modifier for Frost Blast says it increases the AoE, but has no radius stat to do so.
Cold Steel reads as a WPS (and was before IIRC) but only has passive stats, including acid and poison damage, not to mention a cold to acid conversion.

Survival Mode issues with solutions

*(SURVIVAL MODE RELATED( think some dbr-files are referencing on missing dbr files. For example

Possibly failed attempt to add what appears to be a buff. Naturesblessing.dbr is missing UI x,y coords. Removing entries should remove red X in corner and allow rest of tree to display.

RIFT MODE

First I would like to say that I love DAIL MOD. I can not remember me from what version I started playing with the GD DAIL ... but I really like RIFT and SURVIVAL mode, are very good and interesting.
I play more in RIFT mode, I like this way, but I have some problems first in RIFT SPECIAL mode, sometimes I kill the BOSS and it does not drop the scroll to pursue '' QUEST SPECIAL ", which would be the quest to kill a percentage of the bosses. sometimes he buga by 10%, sometimes 50%, but most bug me 75%.
It also has the endles way that I never got to play, I always get it and never give mobs respawn, I've tried several and several times and never respawn.

Now to finish I would like to say thanks to you.
The mods created by the team, I hope to continue with the excellent work
to make upgrades and fix bugs and also new things in the mod.

Class Training

Demon Hunter and Voidcaller need class training bonuses for 51-100 mastery investment.

NCFF classes .70

Upgrade when source becomes available. Then all masteries up to date.

zooming issues

*I can't zoom out as far in DAIL as I am in vanilla - any advice or is something wrong?

^remove voidcaller items - i'd need an actual list. not interested in diffing this out right now. it will be a pain. im expecting Crate to raise the mastery limit beyond 30 so it shouldn't matter later. also i have templated it up to 99 but only 51 will display

illusionist changeling pet issues

*Someone mentioned it before but can also confirm Illusionist's changeling pets being stationary.
no clue on this. gonna leave it till later

build 54 is... quite terrible

I mean even more terrible than 53. I't almost 1 AM so whatever, but tomorrow I'll downgrade it back to 53 rather than trying to figure out 54.

  • no new mastery (well, kinda expected that, but..)
  • tons of things in "old" masteries are touched in one way or another, with NotFound names and/or descriptions (or descriptions that make no sense, especially on Priestess and Frost Knight)
  • forum thread is closed, "changelog" links to error 404.. no way to know what was fixed, what changed and what was botched up

Sidenote rambling:

  • why do people give passives that don't scale? Like, the first point adds 25% something and 10% something else, and then you can put 11 more there to increase the 10% one by 1% each while the 25% one stays the same on all ranks? LOL
  • why do you put effects into celestial powers instead of passives/actives? They don't level up or anything, so they're REALLY OP on low levels (like Priestess' rooting retaliation one that can kill entire swarms of zombies alone at the start), but later on they literally do nothing (5 damage per second won't get noticable even if it has +300% modifier..)
  • no one uses aether damage. No one uses chaos damage. Seriously. I really hope one day some modder looks at items/constellation powers ingame and finally makes masteries that actually use them. For example - full Aether build (I mean, sure, there's Arcanist's Fire/Aether build, but like every single aether skill of his require caster offhand, which seriously destroys most synergies). Fire/Chaos build. Vitality/Chaos build. Physical/Trauma build. Piercing/Bleeding build. Etc. No fancy "I'm the master of the three elements, poison, vitality and chaos! fear my physical attacks!" You struggle to find 2 modifiers on gear (unless they pair up well like the above), let alone more. If I can choose between full ice build with 300%+ cold damage modifier and a jack of all trades with 15-40% modifier in each, it's a no-brainer..
  • why the heck anyone puts DoTs on primary (left click no CD) abilities? And then even tries to prolong them (hello!, poison). I mean, there's a lot of difference between putting 4sec bleed on an ability with 5 sec CD, and an ability that you can spam twice in a second, especially since DoTs don't stack, but refresh
  • why do you put magical effects on pure physical abilities? Making hybrids is terribly inefficient in Grim Dawn! You need Physique to wear heavy armor (or get 1-hit by a white mob), while also needing high cunning to deal more physical damage WHILE ALSO NEEDING HIGH SPIRIT to deal more magical damage. That makes no sense! If you have a goddamn sword&broad tank, make him inflict physical damage, with trauma damage from shield/blunt and bleed from blade. No fancy electrocution, fire effects, aether, chaos, vitality, poison or whatever else. Or make his spells reasonably "physical". I don't really know why games enforce some "cold" damage for example. If a guy gets hit by a flying glacier, he dies from physical/piercing/bleeding damage, not some fancy magical coldness. Nice example of this mess is a Cenobite mastery, which deals like every single damage type there is.. (and different ones in each build. Now in 54 the aether damage was replaced by lightning damage, which solved.... NOTHING at all.... if I smash your face with a shield, will you get thunderstruck?)
  • I hate anything that uses solid projectiles. I feel like 80% of those I shoot, they just end up disappearing on the slightest bump on the ground (things like fireballs, ice spears, ball lightnings... especially these Elementalist/Earth/Storm masteries). I don't understand why, since vanilla projectiles work nicely (at least those added by weapon enhancer items)
  • effects like Terrify (Terror Knight) or Knockdown (Necromancer) are seriously counterproductive. I know it looks nice for atmosphere, but it gets really annoying to always chase half mobs that got flinged across the room.. especially if they're ranged. Why not switch them for something similar but not so annoying? KnockDOWN has a fancy lying name as it knocks the poor sod across half screen before he actually falls down. Why not just STUN the poor guys with fear? How are intangible wraiths even knocking them away violently like a tornado?

[0042/Bug] Stash graphics and custom map problems

Mod Version: 0042 (S mode)
Issue:

2) Both DGA and Eternal maps are pretty much devoid of NPCs, there's only a few in DGA(Stash, Ghost Blacksmith, Skill Respec, etc) and none in Eternal.

Comments: Upgrade from 0036 -> 0042
I tried removing all the user saves and starting a new character altogether, also tried reinstalling the mod after a complete wipe (removed the dail files from the mods folder, restored the vanilla files, steam game cache verification, etc).

The custom main campaign map seem to have the NPCs (I even see the omega npc in devil's crossing's gate).

Spear

Models missing on character and inventory. Character attacks with invisible weapon. Game still calculating damage.

Terror Knight - Soldier of Madness

It seems the ultimate level of this that gives +1 to all skills doesn't like being shared very much. Every time someone walks out of or into the aura range it lag spikes badly.(my guess is it is trying to calculate the +1 to all skills on the fly and when it does it to someone with a lot of skills, we are looking at a lot of calculation.) Perhaps we can make the skill not an aura anymore? Or if there is a way to make the +1 to all skills only affect the user of the ability?

REPORTING BUG IN DEMOLIST ^^

Hey Davoo , i dont know if this cube appeared only for me and do not know what happened. Because I only use DAIL MOD in GD, i dont have other mod installed.
But no problems, just like to report this bug that appeared to me.

^add/test a pull script to put stuff back into my offline work dir when I merge something from the wild (if it ever happens) put a bunch of pauses before it runs to be sure it doesn't run by accident. and make it only work if run from the git dir itself.

Survival freezes

I don't know why, but each and every time I'm attempting to do Survival mode, Grim Dawn freezes on me in Round 10 (I'm guessing each time it's the moment Warden Krieg changes into his second form.. but in normal campaign, it didn't freeze on me when I was killing him, so idk).

I'm playing a Frost Death Knight (frost knight/necromancer), ice build with tons of proc effects if that matters (Glacier relic and necklace both shooting ice spikes, wraiths flying around me, etc. So maybe it's just too many procs at the same time.. but it happens EVERY SINGLE TIME a few seconds after I kill Krieg's first form, so..)

Something I can't figure out or just plain don't have time / interest to do it, but agree that it is a problem or interesting feature to add

^Door to survival arena in multiplayer can not be gone through except by host others get stuck on invisible wall. This was on version 0050

Frost Knight

Not sure if I'm using this function correctly, but seems like a good way to keep you updated for now.

Only thing I found in patch notes concerning Frost Knight is in DAIL043 you updated to Frost Knight 1.9. Dawn of Heroes dev is showing v3.2 on nexus. Going to start with merging that then test.

Uh, Frost Knight build structure is weird. Not sure if about this one. Going to move on for now.
