My understanding was that startNewPasswordRequired would get automatically after an error of password reset is required. However it is not, I do get an error that temp password has expired, but startNewPasswordRequired is not called? What is interesting however is that message reads that it must be reset by the administrator perhaps that is why I am not prompted to change it?
But console user status is: Account Status | Enabled / FORCE_CHANGE_PASSWORD
That was it. Sorry, it is working correctly. Not quite sure what was going on with that user.

CognitoConfig.plist file is missing from project , only name is showing in project structure
