Oh, that's intended. The widget pulls its styling from system environment variables. This is so that it's consistent with other widgets on the home screen.
And yes, a text color picker would have to be implemented with the transparency feature 😄 Thank you for the suggestion.

Hi!
option to make the widget transparent
The issue is that the icons would not be legible against some wallpapers :/ But maybe I could use the icons with a shadow behind them from here. I'll see about this.
Also the font color should be adjustable, since the widget does not follow the app theme.
Sorry, I'm not sure I understand. Is this an issue with the current widget (version 3.2.1), or a request if I were to implement the transparency feature?

That sounds really nice, thanks!

It was intended as part of the request, but it could be an issue in the current implementation too. If you intended the widget to follow the app theme then yes, it is an issue currently as well.

Perhaps instead of just transparent or not, would you consider allowing for changing the colour of the background manually (or just black) with an opacity slider? A lot of the other widgets I use are like this, black background which is semi-transparent, so it's still legible but you can see the background.
Great app by the way thank you for making this.
