The title is pretty accurate, but it would be convenient to have the ability to rename certain saved locations in order to improve identification on sight, especially in cases where the user knows the place by a different name than the one Open-Meteo has it listed under.
Perhaps consider hiding the top bar on scroll.
I have this app installed since about a week. Everything worked well until a few days ago when suddenly bura
wasn't able to display the weather reliably anymore. There was a black "Loading screen" indicating the information is loading in the background, but it never completed. When killing the app and trying again and again, it sometimes managed to load the screen, but rarely.
I then reset the app completely, which also removed my locations. Now I can't even add new locations, bura
tells me
You seem to be offline. Connect to the Internet and try again.
But I'm clearly online, other apps work as intended. Is there maybe some API key involved that exceeded its limit?
I have a very popular town name, the search only gives 10 results.
https://open-meteo.com/en/docs/geocoding-api#name=hope&count=20
My town is down near 15 it so, so in the app i would never see it. Unless..
There was a user option to set more search results provided.
Hello,
Thanks for the great app.
Is it foreseen to get a widget ?
Currently, temperature highs and lows in the "now" sections are shown in some places with arrows indicating that it is a high or low:
However, the daily forecasts do not indicate this. This is somewhat confusing, as I typically expect the high on the left and the low on the right, but here the low is on the left and the high is on the right:
Adding the low/high arrows in the daily forecast section would help make it more clear that the low is on the left in this case (as in the mockup below)
Same thing would be helpful on this screen, where the high is on the left and the low is on the right but there are no arrows or anything to indicate the high and low:

Hi. I recently found out about this app. I like everything very much. Nice interface, beautiful graphics, etc. But it will be even better if you add the ability to set weather data in the notification bar next to the clock. It would seem a trifle, but sometimes it is not possible to open the application to find out the weather, and so I looked into the notification bar and looked at how many degrees it is outside.
Some weather apps show graphically how much light and dark are within each day with sun position tracking according to current time.
Hello,
Recently discovered your app. Very neat, very easy to read and figure out what the day will feel like.
That said, it'd be nice to have a notification that provides the temperature and some other information upon expansion. This is the killer feature I need in a weather app.
Cheers,
Lefty
The graphs already have gridlines and the surrounding borders make it look cluttered. Great app, thank you!
There are some minor issues with your fastlane structure:
phoneScreenshots
must be one level deeper (images/phoneScreenshots
)images/icon.png
is missingfull_description.txt
lacks an empty line before the bullet-point list to render properly as MarkdownCould you please fix that? Thanks in advance!
I would like having an "about" section with some useful data within, like app version, build, app source (play store, fdroid, etc), donation button, etc.
Hello. Would it be possible to maybe add the coordinates/postcodes to the drop-down list of search results, when looking for a place? There are too many places of the same name around here. :) Thanks.
Add some more information and graphs like in https://github.com/breezy-weather/breezy-weather which supports open meteo as well.
I am personally missing a pure black theme option.
Make the app tablet compatible, implement "landscape" view.
now, there only is an informationi about current wind. and the arrow points in a wrong direction (not to where the wind blows, but from where). i would like to see daily (and hourly) wind forecast too
Create a history for complete day UV index according to time like this in the app - https://en.tutiempo.net/ultraviolet-index/pune.html
Since update it says that
Perhaps I am stupid, but it has only just occurred to me what the gradient colored bar to the right of the daily weather forecast on the home screen indicates.
I may be wrong, but for those who have not figured it out, the extreme ends of the spectrum are the full temperature range of the week. The colored bar is the temperature range for that day, and the dot is the current temperature.
With that said, I think it would be helpful for there to be an explanation for that particular UI element somewhere, whether on the Github page, the settings menu (as a "? Help" button), or evennas an introductory tutorial on first launch.
when one goes to search for at place, the search does not find it when there is a space after. fx:
space represented by"
Holstebro" = returnes nothing
Holstebro = holstebro, central jutland, denmark
probably because it is cut off by the ,
Hey David TakaΔ,
I'm running a open source repo for Android apps at https://www.openapk.net and I would like to have Bura listed in the repo. Please review the listing at https://www.openapk.net/bura/com.davidtakac.bura/
It is hooked to your GitHub repo so all the updates are automatically pushed to OpenAPK. Let me know if its ok !
If you are interested you can link to it and use our download banners ( https://www.openapk.net/images/openapk-badge.png )
While many people have huge internet plans done people have very limited ones. A user setting for update refresh rate would be great.
Myself i only need one update a Day.
And really only need a manual update for each location.
My internet plan is 5gb a year, so you can see why it matters a lot to me.
For those of us in the US 12 hour time in the hourly forecast would be great
Please add direct cryptocurrency addresses within the app. Easy tap and donate without leaving the app. All happens offline (no internet needed).
TRX, AVAX, LTC, BTC, XEC, BNB, SOL, BCH, ALGO, XTZ, HBAR, DASH, FTM, XRP, XDC, ADA, XLM, KAS, XMR, SEI, INJ, SUI addresses available for donations (addresses have to be copyable).
I don't want going around to websites. I don't want support FIAT economy.
I don't want leave the app environment in order to make a donation.
Here an integration example made by other developers.
A lot of small towns are not found by the search. It wood be nice if gps coordinates were supported. Maybe even geo: links
Add the option to get weather data from other sources.
Like accuweather, openweathermap and more with our own api key.
Not everyone knows how military time works and will get confused after 12:59 when it says 13:00. Can we get the ability to switch between the different time formats?
F-Droid currently provides screenshots of the app's main screens, but not its settings. This may give the impression that, for example, the application does not support displaying atmospheric pressure in millimeters of mercury (this is the standard adopted in the countries of the former Soviet Union and its former satellites). And the majority of residents of these countries have no idea how pascals relate to mmHg. Not to mention the conversion of one unit into another in the mind.

whatsNew in en-US should be shorter than 500 characters!
I guess it's because the recent release has a bit too much text in the fastlane changelog. Another release where the entry is < 500 chars should work.
