alfred-timetracker's Issues

`tt list` crashes if `tt start` was never used

tt list returns an error instead of an empty list if called when the file ongoing_tasks.json does not exist. The file is automatically created with tt start, so most users are not affected by the bug.

Steps to reproduce the problem:

  • Delete the file ~/Library/Application\ Support/Alfred/Workflow\ Data/it.davidepedranz.timetracker/ongoing_tasks.json
  • Run tt list

M1-compatible build

At the moment, the application is build only for Intel. To simplify running it on M1-based devices, we should compile the tt binary for both platforms.

Add possibility to use an existing `Tracking` calendar

Switching computer required to re-configure the calendar used to track events. At the moment, the action needs to be performed manually (change the value in the preferences of the Alfred workflow) and it not documented.

Possible ideas:

  • Add a command to discover existing calendars and let the user pick one to track events
  • Change the tt setup command to lookup already-existing tracking calendars before creating a new one
  • Document how to perform such migration

Feature request: Connect timetracker with reminders

Thank you very much for your work, I love your workflow!

I want to propose a new feature:

If I start a time tracker, selecting a reminder from my (default) reminders list would be very helpful.

Benefits: Reminders and timetracker would be more in sync, and I would stop using โ€œgeneral workโ€ as my goto name for my tasks.
