airflow-dashboards's Issues

Mappings fail when DAG name has period

Well, I will link the issue in case anyone else comes across, and a potential solution here. All of the mappings that pull out a dag_name or dag_id don't seem to be working when the dag name has contains a period - e.g. canary_v1.0

Variables in grafana

Hello Rozhkov,

I'm using your Aiflow monitoring project with Grafana, but I have a big problem.
In my environment, we have a lot of aiflow dags. How did you manage to filter the dag_id variable in grafana?

See the image below for two examples of different dag.
image

Duration dashboards should be a single value - not a series

Hello,

Two questions regarding Grafana dashboards:

  1. Why does "DAG ran duration" dashboard is showing graphs of 10-15 min series and not a single value? As far as I understand a DAG completed run should be translated to 1 single point in time. I see also that the raw data is series of 10-15 min data and not a single value in time.

image

  1. In "Failed DAG run duration" dashboard I see weird values: 2.9 days for DAG? This does not align with my airflow real metrics.

Both of the issues above I see at your dashboard image example, and also in my own dashboard, so I guess this is not a bug, but an explenetion to the reasons would be great :)

I tried to transform the "duration" airflow metrics from "summary" to "gauge" type, but without success.

Thanks!

Mappings rules (statsd.conf) may be broken?

Hello,

I'm trying to use your mappings file for the Airflow exporter, but I'm not sure if is mapping the stats from Airflow. I'm using the docker container for this and I do see the following being published to the statds_exporter:

I ran the exporter with a config check and I do see warnings but don't think these are fatal:

backtracking required because of match. Performance may be degraded

Hi
I ran into a problem when using mapping from this repository.
Airflow is installed as a service. the following settings

[metrics]
statsd_on = True
statsd_host = localhost
statsd_port = 9125
statsd_prefix = airflow

are made in the config file.

Docker container with statsd_exporter is running on the same server:
docker run --name statsd-exporter
-d --rm
-p 9102:9102
-p 9125:9125
-p 9125:9125/udp
-v $PWD/statsd_mapping_v2.yaml:/tmp/statsd_mapping_v2.yaml
prom/statsd-exporter --statsd.mapping-config=/tmp/statsd_mapping_v2.yaml

statsd_mapping_v2.yaml content copied from this repository.

but there are no additional parameters from the mapping file in the metrics output.
Instead, the container logs have this
