oot-custom-sequences's Issues

Tal Tal Heights Seq

Hello, not sure if it is possible to pitch up parts of the Tal Tal Heights arrangement from Link's Awakening, but it does not reach the higher pitch levels and I wasn't sure if it would be possible to edit the sequence to make this sound more like the original? Thanks!

Volume/Velocity Quality Control needed

A twitch streamer that I follow has recently been complaining about inconsistent track volumes and has started manually removing sequence files that are distractingly or damagingly loud (which ends up being a counter-recommendation to this project and the sister project). Is there a process in place for track QC beyond "it doesn't crash the game?" I realize that normalizing midi files and therefore seq files is not exactly an easy thing to do (since it can't be done via tags like mp3) but there should at least be an attempt at not driving players away from the music pack.

The Dark Souls Series

Crystal World: Wrong Final Fantasy labeled.

The Crystal World track that is attributed to Final Fantasy IV is actually from Final Fantasy IX.

Found this out while streaming on discord to a friend who is a major FFIV fan. He pointed it out and after double checking there is no Crystal World track for FFIV, nor does there sound like to be a similar track in it's OST.

But it does show up in FFIX's track list both name and sound.

Method?

Me and a friend have been tinkering around with converting midi files to seq files and using them in ocarina of time randomisers.
However all attemps came back mangled.

We have been using seq64 and midis from a few sites. Some instruments have been missing, and many notes are dropped.

Is there a setting we are missing or is there a better way to convert midis to (a)seq?

songs not working

If I put the songs into the randomizer file and I patch the rom and launch the game the songs won't work

A couple of song requests

Hi! I don't know if this is still being updated or not, but I use the current pack for OoT custom sequences VERY frequently and would like to request a few songs I feel would make some really good additions, if it's not too much trouble that is.

Well my requests are: Lavender Town, Halo Main Theme/Warthog Run. Pokemon Alpha Sapphire Team Leader battle, Rayquaza's battle theme, Tiny Woods (Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Rescue Team games), Mt Steel (PMD Rescue Team), Sky Tower (PMD Rescue Team), Magma Cavern (PMD Rescue Team), Duel of the Fates(Star Wars), and Battle of the Heroes (Star Wars)

EDIT: BTW I can find and provide ALL the midi files required for this. If I have issues finding some songs I'll let you know :)

EDIT 2: Ok so I found most of the midis for the songs I listed, some don't exist so there are a few replacements, only about 3 or 4 I hope that's not an issue, if it is I can remove them. Just let me know when you want them and I'll post a link to the zip file.

Bowser in the Dark World Sequence Request

Hello,

I put in a request a couple days ago for the subject song to be added. I've attached a .seq file (hopefully it retains all of the data since I had to save as a .txt file) from the Majora's Mask Randomizer, and it works fairly well, except the background percussion sounds too high. Would you be able to tweak this to edit the background to lower it? (0x22 works quite well with this track). If you believe information is missing, let me know and I will try to save as a more robust file type. Thanks!

Tools and guide?

I am trying to make custom tracks for a streamer I watch. I have about 5 different midis that I've already tested and converted into the OOT soundfont. I tried to use seq64 but it didn't export the right file type. I do not care if you want to add said tracks to this repository, but would like to know how you generated these files (I already read the old issues, there's no discord link I could find in that spreadsheet)

Songs with invalid meta data.

Hi there, now that we allow patching on ootr.com, we struggle with songs with invalid meta data a bit more.

Two songs that seem to have faulty meta headers are
The Legend of Zelda: OoT Triforce Percent - Overture of Sages Warp
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom - Trailer 3

can these be cleaned up? is there a better way to go about these?

Bomberman 64 music

Tracks like the battle vs. Sirius (Pt. 1 and 2), Masker, Battle vs. Altair, Red Mountain, etc. would be an amazing addition to this!

Copyrighted music in this pack

Both song of healing and battle against a true hero have given me copyright claims on my youtube streams, assuming the other undertale songs would too.

Lands of Lore Southland Forest

If it's at all possible, may I request that the song that plays for Southland Forest in Lands of Lore: The Throne of Chaos be converted to a .seq file? I've included all of the files below. Sorry if it causes any inconveniences, but I could only find the Japanese version of the song. I hope it doesn't cause any trouble.
Lands of Lore Southland Forest.zip

Golden Sun Venus Lighthouse music

If at all possible, can you add the Venus Lighthouse music from Golden Sun (The Final Dungeon of Golden Sun 1) into the OoT Randomizer please?

Kanto Gym Leader Theme Pokemon G/S

Hello, I'm wondering if the instrument set can br changed for this song to be the more standard instruments like those used in the Champion battle. I think it would improve this a lot - thanks!

2 King's Field songs?

Would it be possible to add 2 particular songs from King's Field: The Ancient City? I would request more, but I have no idea how tedious the process is, the ones I mostly want are the Damp Tomb and the City/Village Ruins themes.

The Ultimate Doom - Dark Halls

If it is at all possible, would you please consider trying to convert this to an Ocarina of Time seq file for the Randomizer, please?

Dark World in mono

The updated Dark World track seems to be in monaural. Can this be fixed? Thanks!

Stale README

"this zip file" link in README links to old seqs branch. Should probably link the new one or the relevant one for each of the branches. Since AFAIK these are only compatible with OoTR probably worth mentioning both and having versions for them side-by-side too.

Suggestion: Kakariko Saved Twilight Princess Track

Hello. First of all, thank you for continuing to add amazing tracks to this GitHub. Really an awesome resource and makes randomizers so much more fun. Just had a small suggestion for the subject track - I think using the Ocarina instead of the flute instrument would sound a lot better, but I'm not sure how easy something like that would be to change. Thanks for the consideration!

Add my music

Made my pack a couple months after your initial commit to this was made, but I don't remember seeing it when I searched around so it must've been private at the time?

Anyways it's here: https://github.com/LuigiXHero/OoT-Randomizer-Music-Pack

I can also make a pull request and fix the formatting by putting them in folders if you like instead but i'm pretty busy atm, so dunno when that'd be.
