Suggestion: alt attribute text for images can be more descriptive.
Another suggestion for improving your code is to try using more descriptive alt text for the image elements. Currently, most of the images seem to have the same alt text of "Campus". This might not provide much more detail about the image, and it would be better to use something that is more detailed about the image. For instance,
<img class="desktop" src="resources\images\information-orientation.jpg" alt="Orientation info">
Great job utilizing flex in your project!
I think you did a great job applying flex to your page for the responsive content. Flex is a very useful and convenient property to use for designing dynamic web page layouts, and you did a great job utilizing it for your project.
Suggestion: Try to add descriptions to every major section of the page if possible.
You did a great job adding descriptions for several important sections of the page. There are a few more in the HTML and CSS that can also use descriptions because they are an important part of the page as well, such as the "Thesis" and "Footer" sections of the page.
The code is well structured and formatted.
I think you did an excellent job with the code formatting for the HTML and CSS. They seem to follow correct guidelines for code design throughout the code consistently, and are easily readable. In addition, the inclusion of descriptions for each important section helps to quickly find each section, as well as understand what part of the page they are.
Writing clean and well formatted code makes it much easier to work with and understand for others, which is why it is an important concept to keep in mind. Great job!
SUMMARY
Grade: Exceeds Expectations
Summary: I think your project implementation is excellent, and exceeded expectations. The page had great design, and utilized responsiveness really well, which made it look great on all browser sizes. In addition, your code was very well formatted and easily readable.
The areas for improvement here are mainly in your code - Try to add descriptions for every major section of the page, which include the "Thesis" and the "Footer" sections, and try to use more descriptive alt attribute text for image elements, because they should help to describe the image in more detail, and because the text will potentially give your page more matches when search engines look up matching phrases.
As a challenge, try to add some extra functionality to the page, which can be anything you think will improve it. This might be an API that you implement like Google Maps, or some additional styling to the page to improve the user experience. Feel free to add whatever you like! Based on your work so far, I am confident you will be able to accomplish this. Keep up the excellent work!
Subtlety: Colmar Academy is misspelled!
On the page, the spelling for the page seems to be incorrect in the heading, which should be spelled
"Colmar Academy"
It's a very small issue, but can be vital when assigned professional web pages for an employer, especially when spelling and grammar is very important for page quality. This is just something to keep in mind.
Excellent job with the page design and implementing responsiveness.
Excellent job with your project design! All the sections of the page look correctly implemented and structured following the project spec guidelines. The page has great responsiveness, and looks good for different browser sizes including mobile, tablet and desktop. As a result, the page looks and feels very professional. Keep up the great work!
